Tam Son Commune:
In recent years, Tam Son has taken advantage of its natural landscape, historical relics and cultural identity to form attractive destinations. Binh Son Tower - a special national relic, Truc Lam Tue Duc Zen Monastery, Bo Lac Lake, Bay Waterfall, De Tham Cave... have become places that attract visitors to visit, research and experience.
Truc Lam Tue Duc Zen Monastery is located next to Bo Lac Lake, a potential eco- tourism destination .
At Truc Lam Tue Duc Zen Monastery, Ms. Nguyen Thu Hang, a tourist from Hanoi, shared: “The Zen monastery space is peaceful, the architecture is in harmony with nature. I feel the serenity and relaxation and hope Tam Son continues to invest to make this place an even more attractive spiritual tourist destination.” At Thac Bay, Mr. Pham Quang Long, a tourist from Quang Ninh, expressed: “The waterfall scene is majestic and pristine, the water is clear, the air is fresh. This is truly an ideal place to experience and explore nature.”
Tourism has brought an important source of income to the locality. In the first 7 months of 2025, Tam Son commune attracted more than 10,000 visitors. Accommodation facilities, restaurants, food services, transportation, and specialty shopping in the commune have been expanded, attracting hundreds of local workers; many households have also developed homestay and farmstay models associated with experiential agriculture . This shows that when properly oriented and invested in synchronously, tourism becomes a livelihood channel, contributing to sustainable poverty reduction.
Sang Mountain has the beauty of "strange mountains and beautiful waters".
Tourism also affirms its important role in preserving and promoting cultural heritage. Traditional festivals, craft villages, and OCOP products of Tam Son are widely introduced, creating a unique identity for the destination. At the same time, rural infrastructure is improved thanks to resources from tourism; transportation, electricity, water, and communication systems are increasingly complete.
However, Tam Son's tourism potential has not been exploited to its full potential. Service infrastructure is still lacking in synchronization; there are not many typical products, and the quality is not high; promotion is not systematic. Some destinations are still fragmented, lacking connections to form a chain. That poses an urgent need for a new, more innovative approach, in order to turn potential into a real competitive advantage.
Therefore, linking tourism development with digital transformation is a strategic orientation. Digital transformation opens up the possibility of strong promotion, bringing the image of Tam Son to domestic and foreign tourists quickly and effectively. Tourism products and OCOP can be introduced on digital platforms; smart tourism services help tourists easily look up information, book services, and experience digital utilities. Thereby, improving the experience of tourists, increasing competitiveness on the regional and national tourism map.
In its development orientation, Tam Son has set a goal of becoming an advanced, modern new rural commune by 2030, with high-class tourism products. These include building an eco-tourism area - community associated with Bo Lac Lake, developing the spiritual - cultural tourism route of Binh Son Tower - Bay Waterfall - Truc Lam Tue Duc Zen Monastery; forming a clean agricultural area combined with experiences, a standard golf course to attract high-class guests. All are operated and promoted on a digital platform.
On Sang mountain there is a majestic beauty, attracting many tourists to explore and experience.
To realize that aspiration, Tam Son needs to focus on a number of key solutions. First of all, improve the quality of the management team, tourism and information technology specialists, to meet the requirements of the digital transformation period. Next, mobilize social resources, call on businesses and investors to participate in building infrastructure and developing tourism products. Along with that, focus on training digital skills and community tourism skills for the people.
More importantly, Tam Son needs to have a strategy to preserve and promote cultural identity in conjunction with tourism development. Each festival, craft village, and traditional product must become a “red address” on the digital map; each citizen must be a “cultural ambassador”. At the same time, it is necessary to strengthen environmental protection, preserve the landscape, ensure security and order, and create a civilized and safe tourism environment.
Looking back over the past years, it can be affirmed that tourism has been making an important contribution to the socio-economic development of Tam Son. Although there are still many difficulties, with a strategic vision associated with digital transformation, the commune has the basis to make its aspirations a reality.
Secretary of the Tam Son Commune Party Committee Le Dang Tam affirmed: “Developing tourism associated with digital transformation is the shortest way for Tam Son to create a breakthrough, both developing the economy and improving people's lives, affirming local identity in the integration period.”
That aspiration is not only the determination of the Party Committee and the government but also the common desire of the people. With its revolutionary tradition, solidarity spirit and proactive innovation, Tam Son will certainly rise strongly, becoming a bright spot in tourism development associated with digital transformation, contributing to the overall development of the province.
