Implement credit programs for students, master's students, and postgraduates

QTO - On the morning of September 4, information from the Social Policy Bank (CSXH) of Quang Tri province said that the unit is actively implementing a preferential loan program for students, graduate students, and biological researchers in the fields of science, technology, engineering, and mathematics according to Decision 29/2025/QD-TTg dated August 28, 2025 of the Prime Minister.

Accordingly, customers eligible for loans are students, postgraduates, and researchers in science , technology, engineering, and mathematics such as: Life sciences, natural sciences; computers and information technology; financial technology; other key technology training fields as prescribed... The maximum loan amount includes all tuition fees (after deducting scholarships and other support, if any) along with living and study expenses of up to VND 5 million/month. The loan interest rate is 4.8%/year, overdue debt is calculated at 130% of the loan interest rate.

The loan term includes: Loan disbursement period, time from the date the learner finishes the course until the first loan repayment begins, and repayment period. During the loan disbursement period, the borrower does not have to repay the principal and interest. From the date the learner finishes the 12-month course as prescribed, the borrower must repay the principal and interest of the loan for the first time. The borrower can repay the loan early without incurring a penalty interest for early repayment.

The Social Policy Bank makes loans through households, with the household representative standing in the transaction name. In case the household has no members aged 18 or older or the remaining members are unable to work or do not have full civil capacity as prescribed by law, the student directly takes out a loan at the Social Policy Bank. With a loan amount of up to 500 million VND/person, the customer does not need collateral. If the loan exceeds 500 million VND, the borrower must ensure the debt repayment obligation as prescribed by law.

Timely meeting the capital needs under this program not only helps children feel secure in their studies, but also contributes to training a skilled and knowledgeable workforce, serving the country’s socio -economic development in the future.
