In the second half, Tayfun Tasdemir persistently pursued and at one point narrowed the gap to only 3 points with Tran Thanh Luc. When the Vietnamese athlete led 49-40 and was only 1 point away from victory, the opponent created drama with a streak of 7 consecutive points.

However, Tran Thanh Luc still managed to score the decisive point to win 50-47. This is the first time Tran Thanh Luc has won a title at the World Cup carom (3-cushion World Cup). He is the third athlete from Vietnam - after Tran Quyet Chien, Tran Duc Minh - to achieve this achievement.

At the Carom World Cup in Bogota, Vietnam has 5 players competing. Among them, the biggest hope is Tran Quyet Chien (ranked 3rd in the world). After the player born in 1983 was eliminated, his teammate Tran Thanh Luc created a big surprise. The player ranked 11th before the tournament created a buzz when he defeated the world's number one star, Dick Jaspers, in the semi-finals.
