Organizing the Green Living Women Exchange Program in response to the Anti-Plastic Waste Movement

On the morning of January 5, the Department of Natural Resources and Environment of Hoa Lu district coordinated with the District Women's Union to organize the "Green Living Women" exchange program in response to the "Anti-plastic waste" movement in 2024 in Ninh Hoa commune.

The program took place with many performances, skits, question and answer exchanges, games with content about the current situation and harmful effects of plastic waste; solutions that Women's Unions at all levels have implemented to respond to the "Anti-plastic waste" movement in recent times; ways to classify waste, reduce plastic waste, and treat waste at households.

Through the exchange program, we aim to promote propaganda to raise public awareness of environmental protection, waste sorting at source, limiting the use of plastic bags and disposable plastic products; actively planting trees, afforesting, and protecting forests; implementing organic waste treatment, encouraging the use of environmentally friendly products, forming and maintaining good habits to contribute to environmental protection, making the world cleaner. At the same time, we will strengthen the capacity and coordination between departments, branches and the People's Committee of the commune in environmental protection and combating plastic waste.
