Galatasaray failed to convince Akanji.
Akanji refuses to join Galatasaray
Despite reaching an agreement with Man City for a transfer fee of 17 million euros, Galatasaray has failed to convince centre-back Manuel Akanji. According to Turkish media, the Belgian star refused to join the reigning Super Lig champions because he was not satisfied with the salary proposal.
There are still many teams wanting the services of the 30-year-old defender, notably AC Milan, Bayer Leverkusen and Crystal Palace.
Chelsea close to signing Garnacho.
Man United and Chelsea are about to finalize the price for Garnacho
After many negotiations, Chelsea are said to be very close to successfully recruiting Alejandro Garnacho. According to Sky Sports, The Blues and Man United are about to reach an agreement on a transfer fee of between 40 and 46 million euros.
Garnacho is no longer in coach Ruben Amorim's personnel plans and has been put on the list of players to be sold this summer by the Red Devils. But for Chelsea, coach Enzo Maresca sees the young Argentine striker as the perfect replacement for Noni Madueke, who has moved to Arsenal.
Garnacho himself also hopes to soon arrive at Stamford Bridge in the hope of winning a place at the 2026 World Cup in the Argentina national team. Of course, in the context of the West London giants' current crowded attack, the task of winning a starting position promises to be no easy task.
In addition to Garnacho, Man United still has many "items" that need to be quickly liquidated before the summer transfer window closes in 2025. These include Rasmus Hojlund, Antony, Sancho and Malacia.
Chelsea prepare to sell Nkunku for 30 million euros
Chelsea and AC Milan are close to agreeing a transfer fee of around €30 million for Christopher Nkunku, according to transfer expert Fabrizio Romano. The two sides will need to discuss the payment structure before the deal is finalised.
On a personal level, Nkunku has also agreed to the terms proposed by the Rossoneri, so there are no obstacles. The deal is likely to be accelerated to complete before the transfer window closes.
Liverpool ready to loan Tsimikas
Having encountered many difficulties in finding a partner to sell Kostas Tsimikas, the Anfield team will likely accept the loan request from AS Roma. Previously, the Rome team sent Anfield a loan request for the Greek left-back, with an option to buy at the end of the season.
Tsimikas himself still wants to stay with Liverpool, but because he cannot compete with new signing Milos Kerkez and veteran Andy Robertson, the 29-year-old player had to accept leaving to play more regularly.
Juventus put all their efforts into "blockbuster" Muani
According to Football Italia, Juventus are clearly determined to recruit Randal Kolo Muani. The French international is highly regarded by coach Igor Tudor and is considered an important piece that Juve is missing in attack.
Leading Italian journalists Gianluca Di Marzio and Luca Marchetti also confirmed that Juve are focusing all their efforts on this deal and are not considering any backup plans. Previously, the Old Lady had already reached a personal agreement with the 26-year-old striker.
However, whether the Turin giants can successfully detonate the "blockbuster" or not depends on the results at the negotiating table with PSG. The French champions were initially very tough but gradually showed goodwill and were ready to let Muani leave for about 60 million euros.
Juve are also getting closer to the price tag as they are ready to pay 55 million euros immediately, plus 5 million euros in additional fees. Both sides are working hard to speed up the process to complete the deal before the summer transfer window closes in 2025.
In the second half of last season, Muani moved to Juve on loan for a fee of only about 2 million euros. Despite only playing 16 matches in Serie A, the French international managed to contribute 8 goals.
The Blues prioritize selling Xavi Simons.
Tottenham ready to "steal goods" from Chelsea
With Chelsea's plans to sign Xavi Simons showing signs of stalling as the Blues need to prioritise offloading surplus players, Tottenham are ready to jump in and "steal the goods". According to BILD, Spurs are expected to soon send RB Leipzig an official offer to buy the 22-year-old attacking star.
The reason Tottenham decided to play big is because the targets they pursued such as Eberechi Eze (to Arsenal), Morgan Gibbs-White (Nottingham Forest), Nico Paz (Como), Savinho (Man City) either failed or are at a standstill.
