These days, the Center for Social Work and the Hanoi Children's Fund are actively looking for partners to join hands in organizing the program "Meeting typical children of the capital who overcome difficulties to study well in 2025", scheduled to be held at the end of August 2025 at the Hanoi Children's Palace.

Meaningful annual event

The program "Meeting typical children of the capital who overcome difficulties to study well" is an annual activity organized by the Center for Social Work and the Hanoi Children's Support Fund, imbued with humanistic values, to honor and reward the outstanding achievements in learning of children in difficult circumstances, special circumstances but constantly striving in learning. At the same time, creating a forum for children to exchange, express their dreams and aspirations. Thereby, adding motivation and confidence for them to firmly step on the path to becoming useful citizens for society.

Remember, in the 2024 event, 200 children received scholarships and gifts with a total value of 480 million VND. As one of the children receiving scholarships in the 2024 event, Chu Thi Thu Ha, then a 9H student at Vat Lai Secondary School (Vat Lai Commune, Hanoi City) could not hide her emotions, sharing: "In my family, both my father and sister are sick, my mother is the only one who worries and takes care of the whole family, so the scholarship from the program is a great encouragement for me, encouraging me to strive to overcome difficulties and rise up."

Accompanying the program, from 2019 to 2024, the Center for Social Work and the Hanoi Children's Fund have provided long-term sponsorship for 394 children with a budget of nearly 6.9 billion VND; awarded scholarships to 2,980 children with a budget of more than 5.7 billion VND.

The program "Meeting typical children of the capital who overcome difficulties to study well" in 2025 is expected to be held at the end of August 2025 at the Hanoi Children's Palace. At the program, the Organizing Committee plans to award scholarships and gifts to 200 scholarships and 200 gifts to typical children of the capital who overcome difficulties to study well with a total value of 500 million VND (2 million VND/scholarship, 500,000 VND/gift). Along with that, the children will interact and participate in meaningful experiential activities.

Actively looking for companions in the work of taking care of children who overcome difficulties to study well in 2025

Currently, in the capital, there are still many children in special circumstances, facing countless difficulties every day but still constantly striving to excel in their studies and life. With the fire of learning and extraordinary determination, they are shining examples, beautiful flowers that need to be protected and nurtured.

According to Director of the Hanoi Center for Social Work and Children's Protection Fund Nguyen Van Trieu, in order for the program to achieve the desired results, the Center is actively looking for partners and connecting resources from the community to join hands in caring for children in special circumstances and difficult circumstances to overcome difficulties and study well.

With the desire to organize a meaningful and complete program, spreading good values to the community more widely, the Center for Social Work and the Hanoi Children's Support Fund hope to receive the cooperation of individuals, groups, and businesses, to support both materially and spiritually, to help children's dreams fly high and far, contributing to creating a brighter future for the young generation of the Capital.

“The participation of businesses in this event is an opportunity to strongly demonstrate social responsibility, enhance the reputation and image of businesses in the public eye, thereby directly inspiring young talents, contributing to building a better future generation for the capital”, Director Nguyen Van Trieu shared.

The Hanoi Center for Social Work and Children's Support Fund is a public service unit under the Hanoi Department of Health, with the function of providing social work services; focusing on, receiving, managing, and nurturing homeless people; subjects in need of emergency protection; abandoned children; the elderly, children lost from their families and other subjects as prescribed; receiving support resources from domestic and foreign organizations and individuals; mobilizing, receiving, managing, and using the Hanoi Children's Support Fund to carry out the purpose of protecting, caring for, and educating children in accordance with the law. As of June 2025, the Center has supported more than 4,000 children with a total budget of nearly 5 billion VND.
