To adapt to changes from the 4.0 industrial revolution, digital transformation of the Union is considered one of the new and optimal solutions; contributing to better service and meeting the higher demands of union members and workers.
Applying information technology to perform tasks
Le Anh Hung, Deputy Head of the Trade Union Working Committee (Provincial Federation of Labor), said: After the merger, the province now has 676 grassroots trade unions with 57,914 union members. The Provincial Federation of Labor is currently restructuring and reorganizing the organizational structure; innovating activities and improving the quality of trade union officials. Digital transformation is considered one of the important breakthroughs of the term, aiming to create comprehensive and strong changes in the fields of trade union activities based on the digital technology platform associated with administrative reform; improving the capacity to exploit and apply information technology to practically and effectively serve the activities of trade unions at all levels.
The Provincial Federation of Labor has been strongly applying information technology to its activities, especially in the fields of direction, operation, financial management, and union member management; promoting propaganda and mobilization on the website and through social networks such as Zalo, Facebook, Youtube... with frequently updated content and suitable forms, attracting a large number of union members, workers and civil servants to access and quickly share useful information.

Ms. Nguyen Thuc Uyen, a member of the Provincial People's Court's union, shared that currently, the province's territory is large, so the application of digital transformation helps a lot in work. We create online communication channels on social networks to exchange information, share experiences and update activities as well as documents, instructions and regulations of the union quickly.
Mr. Do Truong Thi, administrative and human resources department, Veston Garment Factory (An Hung Joint Stock Company) confided: currently, the factory focuses on the main goal of training and safety for workers. Providing courses related to improving technological skills, to help union members and workers adapt to changes in the modern working environment.
According to Vice President of the Provincial Federation of Labor Nguyen Ngoc Huyen, implementing the Action Program of the Party Delegation of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor "on implementing Resolution No. 57-NQ/TW of the Politburo on breakthroughs in science and technology development, innovation and national digital transformation"; digital transformation in trade union work is currently determined to be implemented comprehensively and comprehensively in all areas of trade union activities at all levels. The team of trade union officials identifies digital transformation as an important and regular task; strongly promoting the role of trade unions in participating in digital transformation. Trade unions at all levels exploit and effectively use modern propaganda channels and social networks to serve propaganda work among workers and civil servants.
Innovating operations from “traditional” to digital space
The process of digital transformation of the Union's operations is an essential part of the national digital transformation program. To successfully implement, based on Plan No. 003/KH-UBND, dated July 18, 2025 of the Dak Lak Provincial People's Committee on implementing the emulation movement "The whole country competes in innovation and digital transformation", the Standing Committee of the Provincial Federation of Labor has just issued a Plan to implement the emulation movement "The whole country competes in innovation and digital transformation" and "Digital education for the masses" in the provincial trade union system with the purpose of propagating, creating a strong change in awareness, raising the sense of responsibility, creating a vibrant competitive atmosphere, mobilizing and encouraging union members and workers to promote the tradition of patriotic emulation, self-reliance, self-reliance, actively working creatively, researching, studying, contributing ideas, proposing initiatives and solutions to apply science, technology and digital transformation to improve labor productivity, efficiency and quality of work.

The competition focuses on promoting and raising awareness among union members and workers about the meaning, role and importance of science and technology development, innovation, national digital transformation associated with studying President Ho Chi Minh's thoughts on science and technology development. Promoting the guiding viewpoints, goals, targets, tasks and solutions in Resolution No. 57-NQ/TW, Resolution No. 71/NQ-CP associated with resolutions, action programs, tasks of the Trade Union organization and the goals and targets of socio-economic development of sectors and localities. Cadres, union members and workers compete to self-study, self-train, update and improve knowledge and skills on digital transformation; compete to apply and exploit digital platforms, digital technology, artificial intelligence in work, contributing to improving labor productivity and work efficiency. Promote digital transformation, application of science, technology, and innovation in Trade Union activities.
Trade union leaders at all levels innovate their thinking, leadership and management methods, and operating and management models from "traditional" to digital space based on digital data. Invest in developing infrastructure for science, technology, innovation, and digital transformation in trade unions at all levels, especially digital infrastructure and digital technology on the principle of "modernity, synchronization, security, safety, efficiency, and avoidance of waste". Improve the quality and effectiveness of social criticism on mechanisms and policies on science and technology development, innovation, and digital transformation; strengthen coordination and supervision of the implementation of Party policies and guidelines and State laws on related issues. Develop collective labor agreements with the agreement of business owners on the dissemination and training of digital skills for union members and workers, etc.
Ms. Nguyen Ngoc Huyen affirmed that organizing emulation movements is an important task that needs to be regularly and extensively deployed among union members and trade union levels with flexible, appropriate, easy-to-implement methods, with specific goals and practical content; combining the emulation content of the Movement "Innovation, creativity, efficiency in trade union activities" with the content of the Movement "The whole country competes in innovation and digital transformation", "Digital education for the masses" to ensure that it is suitable for practical conditions and requirements in the new period. The Provincial Federation of Labor will promote the application of information technology, exploit the advantages of social networks in diversifying forms and measures of propaganda, persuasion, and gathering workers into the Vietnam Trade Union. At the same time, actively apply digital management software in the management of union members, ensuring timely updates and grasps of the situation of changes in union members, workers and civil servants in the province.
In the period of 2025 - 2027, the whole province strives for 100% of full-time trade union officials to be trained, equipped with skills, have knowledge of digital transformation, and make good use of digital platforms to serve their work; 100% of documents, materials, and data of the Trade Union organization are processed and stored on digital platforms (except for confidential documents); 100% of grassroots trade unions organize to respond to the emulation movement and have implementation plans and specific targets; 80% or more of grassroots trade unions have at least 01 model of applying digital technology and innovation in trade union activities; 80% or more of union members and workers are propagated, trained, and coached in basic knowledge of digital technology, digital skills, and can use smart devices to serve production, business, and improve labor productivity; 80% of collective labor agreements include content on digital transformation training for union members and workers...
