According to a press release from the Vietnamese Ministry of Foreign Affairs on the afternoon of October 3, at the invitation of Prime Minister of the Lao People's Democratic Republic, ASEAN Chair 2024 Sonexay Siphandone, Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh will lead a high-ranking Vietnamese delegation to attend the 44th and 45th ASEAN Summits and related Summits in Vientiane, Laos, from October 8 to 11. The 44th and 45th ASEAN Summits and related Summits will take place from October 8 to 11 in the Lao capital Vientiane. As planned, the series of summits will include about 20 activities, held at the Lao National Convention Center, with the participation of leaders of ASEAN countries and partners, along with many invited guests who are representatives of international and regional organizations. This is the most important series of summits of the year for ASEAN, an opportunity for leaders of ASEAN countries and partners to discuss and make strategic decisions to consolidate the process of building the community, promote relations between ASEAN and partners, as well as discuss many issues of concern both regionally and globally. It is expected that about 80 documents will be approved or recorded by leaders at the 44th and 45th ASEAN Summits and related Summits.
