At 4:00 p.m. on June 26, more than 124,000 candidates in Hanoi at 233 testing locations finished taking the math exam for the 2025 high school graduation exam.
As one of the first candidates to leave the exam site of Trung Vuong Secondary School (Hoan Kiem District, Hanoi), Nguyen Minh Trong (yellow shirt, Viet Duc High School) assessed the math test as quite difficult. "I had practiced a lot for the questions in parts 1 and 2 so I could easily pass them. However, in part 3, there were some very difficult questions about probability. I have never encountered such a type of test before," Trong shared.

Contestant Bao Han (Trung Vuong High School) burst into tears when receiving a birthday cake after the math exam. "I could only do the test at a moderate level because the questions were very difficult. When I walked out of the exam room, I was really stressed. Seeing my mothers waiting and celebrating my birthday, I burst into tears," Han said.

However, candidate Nguyen Minh Duc (Viet Duc High School) confidently achieved 9 points after finishing the math test. "I found the test to be within my ability. I only skipped 2 multiple choice questions in the test," Minh Duc said.

Most of the candidates left with a feeling of relief because they had finished the two most stressful subjects in the 2025 high school graduation exam.

Because this year's math questions were considered difficult, many candidates stayed at the exam site to discuss the results of the questions.
