The rate of voters going to the election of village and residential area chiefs in Thanh Mien district reached an average of over 90%.

On December 8, 83 villages and residential areas of 17 communes and towns in Thanh Mien district simultaneously held elections for village and residential area chiefs for the 2024-2027 term.

On election day, 43,271 voters representing households in the district went to the polls, reaching a rate of 93.7%. Of these, 20 villages and residential areas had a voter turnout rate of 100%. The remaining units had voter turnout rates ranging from 75-99%.

As a result, 81 villages and residential areas elected village and residential area chiefs. Tu Xa village (Doan Ket commune) and Do Ha village (Pham Kha commune) had to re-elect because the candidates did not receive more than 50% of the votes. These units will re-elect at the end of December.
