Thai Nguyen's capital payment reached 47.7% of the plan assigned by the Prime Minister.

From the beginning of the year to May 31, 2025, the cumulative payment of public investment capital in Thai Nguyen province is estimated at about 3,152 billion VND, equal to 47.7% of the capital plan assigned by the Prime Minister; equal to 38.8% of the capital plan assigned by the locality.

In 2025, the total capital plan assigned to Thai Nguyen province by the Prime Minister is over VND 5,580 billion, the local capital plan is over VND 7,980 billion (including capital for 2025 and capital extended from the previous year). According to Directive No. 04/CT-UBND dated February 7, 2025 and Directive No. 10/CT-UBND dated April 11, 2025 of the Thai Nguyen Provincial People's Committee, the target set by January 31, 2026, the province strives to disburse 100% of the public investment capital plan assigned in 2025.

Bac Quang completes plan to eliminate temporary housing

To date, Bac Quang district (Ha Giang province) has eliminated 721 temporary and dilapidated houses, completing nearly seven months ahead of schedule, becoming the first district in the province to complete the plan to eliminate temporary houses by 2025. Specifically, there are 650 newly built houses, 71 repaired houses; owned by 21 households with meritorious people, 483 poor households, 217 near-poor households. To complete the temporary house elimination program, the district has mobilized the entire political system to participate, implemented synchronously and drastically; mobilized and integrated many sources of capital as well as labor days of the people. More than 11,200 tons of fresh lychee exported through Kim Thanh border gate

According to the Lao Cai Provincial Economic Zone Management Board, as of the afternoon of June 3, more than 11,200 tons of fresh lychee from domestic localities had been exported to the Chinese market through Kim Thanh International Road Border Gate No. II (Kim Thanh Border Gate). In order to facilitate the export of agricultural products, especially fresh lychee which is in the main harvest season, the functional forces at the border gate area have proactively deployed coordination plans, arranging staff to work earlier than opening hours to support businesses and traders to complete procedures quickly. Thanks to the close coordination between functional sectors and the close direction of local authorities, the export of agricultural products, including fresh lychee, is taking place smoothly, contributing to the consumption of products for farmers, promoting the development of the border trade economy. Currently, on average, about 600 to 700 tons of fresh lychee are cleared for export through Kim Thanh Border Gate every day.

Launch of Syn18 three-line hybrid rice variety

On June 3, the Department of Agriculture and Environment of Tuyen Quang province and Syngenta Group launched the Syn18 three-line hybrid rice product. This is a rice variety researched and selected by Syngenta Group and recognized by the Ministry of Agriculture and Environment and has been tested in Village 8, Tan Long Commune (Yen Son) in the spring crop of 2025. After a period of trial planting, the Syn18 three-line hybrid rice variety has outstanding features, short growth time, grows well in all weather conditions; estimated yield is 66.2-86.8 quintals/ha... The rice variety is expected to overcome the limitations of traditional rice varieties, while increasing productivity and resistance to pests and diseases; increasing income for farmers, contributing to ensuring food security.

Nearly 3,000 lychee drying kilns are ready to operate.

This year, the lychee growing area of ​​Luc Ngan district and Chu town (Bac Giang province) alone reached nearly 17,600 hectares, with a forecasted bumper crop and an estimated output of about 110,000 tons of fruit (equivalent to the 2023 lychee crop). Due to the short harvest time, many lychee drying facilities in these two localities have quickly repaired drying ovens, prepared packaging locations, stored fuel, and are ready for the new crop. Accordingly, the two localities currently have nearly 3,000 lychee drying ovens of all kinds (using coal, electricity, and cold-drying fuel). Professional agencies assessed that the number of drying ovens in the two localities basically meets the demand for processing dried lychees and significantly consumes fresh lychees in the area.

More than 970 officials and civil servants of Lang Son province apply for early retirement

According to statistics from the Provincial Party Committee's Organizing Committee and the Department of Home Affairs of Lang Son, by the end of May 2025, the whole province had 977 cadres and civil servants who had submitted applications for early retirement according to Decree No. 178/ND-CP and Decree No. 67/ND-CP of the Government. Of the total 977 applications, there were 130 applications from cadres and civil servants of the Party and mass organizations and 847 applications from cadres and civil servants of the government. Particularly for the government, implementing the direction of the province, the Department of Home Affairs has informed the groups of beneficiaries when submitting applications for retirement and requested agencies and units to review and summarize the number of applications before June 4. On that basis, this June, competent authorities will consider and approve applications for early retirement of cadres and civil servants in the area.
