On June 25, Mr. Dao Xuan Thuy, Director of Chu Mom Ray National Park ( Kon Tum province) said that the unit had just released 5 individuals of endangered and rare wild animals into the natural environment to preserve valuable gene sources.
The released individuals include 2 long-tailed macaques, 2 mountain tortoises and 1 wild cat, with a total weight of nearly 15kg. These are all species belonging to the group of endangered, rare and precious forest animals that are prioritized for protection. Previously, these individuals were voluntarily handed over by local people to the Forest Protection Department of Dak Ha district and Kon Tum city.

After receiving them, the rangers transferred them to the Center for Biodiversity Conservation and Ecotourism (Chu Mom Ray National Park) for rescue. After a period of care, when the individuals were healthy, well-adapted and disease-free, Chu Mom Ray National Park released them back into the wild in sub-area 605.
