Tay Ninh collects nearly 11,000 billion VND from land use fees and lottery in 6 months

Land use fees and lottery continue to make important contributions to budget revenue in the first months of 2025.

In the first 6 months of 2025, land use fee collection of Tay Ninh province reached more than 8,462.7 billion VND, far exceeding the assigned estimate when reaching 144.4% of both the Central and Provincial People's Council estimates, a sharp increase of 84.5% over the same period in 2024.

According to the report of the Finance sector, in the first 6 months of 2025, the total state budget revenue in Tay Ninh province reached 28,249,702 billion VND, equal to 75.9% of the estimate assigned by the Central Government, 75% of the estimate assigned by the Provincial People's Council and increased by 35.5% over the same period last year. Notably, land use fees and lottery revenue continued to make important contributions to the budget revenue results.

Specifically, land use fee collection reached more than VND 8,462.7 billion, far exceeding the assigned estimate when reaching 144.4% of both the Central and Provincial People's Council estimates, a sharp increase of 84.5% over the same period in 2024. This is a very high growth rate, showing the effectiveness in exploiting land resources, as well as attracting investment in infrastructure and the real estate market in the area.

Besides, revenue from lottery activities reached more than 2,525.6 billion VND, equal to 57.9% of the estimate and increased by 9.8% over the same period.

Although the increase is not as high as land use revenue, this result reflects stability and maintains the role as a sustainable source of revenue, linked to social security, health, education and public investment programs at the local level.

In general, domestic revenue (including land use fees and lottery) reached VND 24,842,603 billion, equal to 79.2% of the central budget, 78.1% of the provincial People's Council budget, up 38.5% over the same period. If excluding the above two revenue items, the remaining domestic revenue is VND 13,854,229 billion, equal to 65.5% of the central budget, up 25.3%.

The above results show that solutions to effectively exploit revenue from land and lottery activities continue to have clear effects, contributing to creating important resources for the province's socio-economic development in the recovery and acceleration period./.
