Giving gifts to the Social Work Center and Children's Support Fund |
The Social Charity Board in collaboration with the Department of Health organized a visit and gave gifts to 3 support facilities (Tinh Duc Pagoda Nursing Home, Social Work Center - Children's Support Fund and Dieu Vien Pagoda). The delegation was led by Venerable Thich Nu Bich Chau, Head of the Social Charity Board of the Vietnam Buddhist Sangha in Hue City.
At the centers, the Venerables of the Social Charity Board of the Vietnam Buddhist Sangha in the city and the leaders of the city's Department of Health visited, encouraged, and presented gifts to the people and the centers.
Previously, the Social Charity Board coordinated with the People's Committee of Hoa Chau Ward to give gifts to disadvantaged students at Quang Thanh Primary School No. 2. The delegation presented 20 cartons of Vitadairy milk, 40 scholarships (each including notebooks, school supplies and 500,000 VND in cash) to 40 disadvantaged students with a total cost of 40 million VND.
Venerable Thich Nu Bich Chau shared: “Vu Lan season is not only about organizing rituals but also about filial piety and compassion - an occasion to do good, meaningful, and compassionate things in society. Each gift, although not large in material terms, contains the community's heart of sharing with difficult circumstances.”
