Vice Chairman of Vinh Long Provincial People's Committee Nguyen Quynh Thien requested the Party Committee, government and organizations of Dong Khoi commune to continue to pay more attention, promptly grasp and resolve the thoughts and aspirations of people with meritorious services, thereby contributing to improving the spiritual life of policy families and all people of Dong Khoi commune.
At the program, SGGP Newspaper cooperated with Bac A Commercial Joint Stock Bank (through the Vietnamese Stature Fund) to donate more than 8.5 tons of rice to meritorious people and policy families in Dong Khoi commune, with a total value of 125 million VND. In addition, the Vietnam Military Medical Association organized free medical examinations and medicine for more than 1,700 people, contributing to health care for policy families.
In addition, at the program, the Love Journey Fund and 20 units and businesses also organized a market to honor people with meritorious services, giving more than 1,700 gifts to policy families.
Also in the program, the sponsors presented 6 gifts, each worth 5 million VND, to the Vietnamese Heroic Mothers of the commune; at the same time presented 50 gifts to families of policy beneficiaries, meritorious people, and books to students who overcame difficulties to study well, with a total amount of over 265 million VND.
On this occasion, the leaders of Vinh Long province awarded the Prime Minister 's Emulation Flag to the people and officials of Dong Khoi and Phu Tuc communes (Vinh Long province) for their outstanding achievements in the new rural construction movement in the period of 2021 - 2025. At the same time, the People's Committee of Vinh Long province also awarded certificates of merit to 6 collectives and 3 individuals who have made many contributions to caring for people in difficult circumstances in Dong Khoi commune. The People's Committee of Dong Khoi commune also awarded certificates of merit to 39 collectives and 2 outstanding individuals in the "Repaying gratitude" movement.
