The workshop attracted more than 250 delegates from many hospitals, medical centers and clinics in Dak Lak province and other provinces.
In the context of the post-Covid-19 pandemic, the management and operation of medical equipment and supplies are facing many difficulties and challenges, from planning for procurement, bidding, maintenance to exploitation and use. This workshop is expected to be a forum for units to share practical experiences, update new regulations as well as seek solutions to remove obstacles.

Speaking at the workshop, Dr. Nguyen Huu Vu Quang, Deputy Director of the Dak Lak Provincial Department of Health, emphasized: Medical equipment management is an essential task for hospitals. Over the past 5 years, especially after the impact of the Covid-19 pandemic, many facilities have encountered difficulties in management, arrangement as well as in the bidding process.
Therefore, seminars and conferences are coordinated with end-line hospitals in Ho Chi Minh City so that units in the region have the opportunity to approach, exchange, resolve difficulties and improve management work.

Master, Doctor Pham Phu Cuong, Deputy Director of Thien Hanh General Hospital shared: The workshop not only aims to update professional knowledge but also aims at the practical goal of being an open, multi-dimensional forum to discuss practical difficulties, especially in the field of medical equipment bidding, which is experiencing many fluctuations and inadequacies. The sharing from experts at the workshop will contribute to removing concerns, helping units have more specific directions and solutions in the coming time.

The workshop also had the participation of reports from experts from the Department of Infrastructure and Medical Equipment (Ministry of Health), experts from Ho Chi Minh City University of Medicine and Pharmacy Hospital and representatives of Thien Hanh General Hospital. In particular, the presence of representatives from the Department of Health of Lam Dong and Dong Nai provinces brought more perspectives, contributing to enriching the discussion content and strengthening inter-regional connectivity in medical equipment management.

From the end-line perspective, Associate Professor, Doctor, Doctor Nguyen Huu Thinh, Head of Equipment and Supplies Department, University of Medicine and Pharmacy Hospital, Ho Chi Minh City, expressed that although the medical equipment sector has experienced many difficulties, even crises in the past, it is also an opportunity for innovation and development. University of Medicine and Pharmacy Hospital, Ho Chi Minh City, wishes to share experiences in comprehensive management of the equipment life cycle, from supply chain, procurement, use to maintenance and liquidation, thereby supporting units in the region to perfect a more sustainable management system.

Through the workshop, Thien Hanh General Hospital affirmed its role as a companion with the regional health sector, joining hands to develop and improve the quality of medical equipment management. This is not only an academic activity but also an opportunity to connect and expand cooperation, aiming at the common goal of improving the efficiency of equipment use and contributing to improving the quality of health care for the people.
The workshop is also expected to become an annual activity, creating a practical professional forum for medical units to share, learn and develop.
