In her opening speech, Vice Chairman of Hoang Mai Ward People's Committee Nguyen Quynh Trang emphasized that in order to create a useful playground for everyone, the Ward People's Committee has issued many plans, including a plan on organizing sports competitions for the people of Hoang Mai Ward.
After more than a month of implementing the plan to 47 Party cells (including 87 residential groups in the entire ward), the residential groups organized training and competitions at the grassroots level, thereby selecting 17 tug-of-war teams and 17 table tennis teams from 17 Party cells (including 24 residential groups), with more than 100 best athletes representing the units to compete in the final round.
On behalf of the Organizing Committee, comrade Nguyen Quynh Trang thanked the Party cell secretaries, heads of the Front work committee, and heads of residential groups for implementing the plan, and at the same time praised the athletes' spirit of participation in activities and enthusiastic training, and wished the athletes to be calm, confident, and compete with high results in the final round.
Immediately after the opening ceremony, the teams entered the knockout competition.
The organizers awarded first, second and third prizes to the outstanding teams.
The final round of tug of war and table tennis tournament for the people of Hoang Mai ward brought about a vibrant competitive atmosphere, practically achieving achievements to celebrate important political events of the ward, the capital and the country, urging people to exercise and contribute to building a civilized and modern ward in the new era.
