Báo Dân ViệtBáo Dân Việt24/06/2024

Previously, on June 22, the Department of Education and Training said it had received a report from Victory School about the cancellation of admission results for students taking the 10th grade entrance exam for the 2024-2025 school year. According to the report, on May 28, NML students participated in the school's 10th grade entrance exam. Two days later, the school announced the procedures for admission to 10th grade, stating that admitted students must pay one month of tuition and food expenses (VND 4,500,000) and confirm their admission before 4:00 p.m. on June 8.

This morning, June 24, the Department of Education and Training of Dak Lak province, sent an official dispatch requesting Victory School to consider the wishes of students and their families, creating conditions for students to complete admission procedures to ensure the rights of learners in cases where students registered to take the 10th grade competency assessment test and were admitted but were late in paying tuition.

According to the Department of Education and Training, Victory School is organized and operates according to Circular No. 40/2021 of the Minister of Education and Training. This school is autonomous and self-responsible for mobilizing, using, and managing resources to achieve educational goals; at the same time, the school performs tasks and powers according to the regulations of primary schools; regulations of middle schools, high schools, and multi-level general schools.

In reality, when problems arise, schools need to have reasonable, appropriate, educational solutions that meet students' learning needs within the school's authority and capacity, while still ensuring compliance with state and industry regulations.

Regarding the cancellation of admission results to grade 10 due to 2 days late payment of tuition fees, the school affirmed that it had fulfilled its responsibilities.

Mr. Nguyen Hoa Nam, Principal of Victory School, said that the school canceled L.'s admission result according to the admission notice issued to ensure fairness and transparency in enrollment; at the same time, he requested the Department of Education and Training of Dak Lak province to consider because the school had fulfilled its responsibility to the admitted student.

Previously, as Dan Viet reported, Mr. Nguyen Quang T. (living in Hanoi ), parent of female student L. (class 9A1, Victory School), submitted a petition to the school about the cancellation of the admission results to grade 10 of this school. Mr. T. stated that L. has studied at Victory School since grade 2. Recently, L. took the secondary school graduation exam at the school and was informed by the school that she had been admitted to grade 10.

However, due to conditions, on June 10, Mr. T. paid the tuition fee (2 days late) and received news that the school had canceled L's admission results.
