(CLO) The International Student Film Festival brings together nearly 100 universities from 15 countries, aiming to promote cultural exchange and creativity in the fields of media and arts.
The 6th International Student Film Festival (ISMA 2025) will take place from February to July 2025 at Van Lang University, Ho Chi Minh City. The event brings together nearly 100 universities from 15 countries, promoting cultural exchange and creativity in the fields of media and arts.
A representative of Van Lang University said that the International Student Film Festival was established in Qingdao (China) in 2017, then expanded with subsequent festivals in Guiyang (2018), Shanghai - Malaysia (2019), Middle Tennessee State University (USA) in 2023 and Kookmin University, Korea in 2024.

In 2025, Van Lang University will host this event. ISMA 2025 brings together many prestigious universities in the world such as Beijing Film Academy, China Academy of Art, New York University, and Michigan State University, along with many other leadingeducational institutions from the US, Europe, Korea, Australia, Brazil and many other countries.
ISMA 2025 includes three main activities to promote connections between students and professionals in the arts field.
Accordingly, the first activity is the Media Art Contest taking place online, open to students from universities around the world .
The second activity, 72-Hour Workshop, will take place in Ho Chi Minh City, where students will be divided into 20 teams to participate in a 72-hour filmmaking competition. The teams will make films with themes revolving around "People - Rivers - Environment".
The competition consists of four main categories: Short Films, Animation Art, Interactive Art, and AI Narrative. Each category emphasizes the application of advanced technology to express new artistic ideas.
Third, an academic forum for experts in the field of design education (Academic Forum) brings together professors and scholars to discuss future media trends.

Participating students will have the opportunity to compare their skills with international peers, access new technology trends and develop their skills through the 72-Hour Workshop. ISMA 2025 will also create a platform to enhance networking and exchange between students, experts and researchers in the industry.
