In recent years, the division has focused on leading, directing, and synchronously implementing many policies and solutions to improve the quality of all aspects of work; in which, training and combat readiness have always been focused on and achieved many positive results. The awareness of officers and soldiers about the task of training and combat readiness has been raised; the content, programs, training methods, competitions, and sports events have been constantly innovated, going into depth, close to the target and task requirements; organizing drills at all levels, participating in defense zone drills to complete tasks well and excellently. The discipline and combat readiness regime at all levels have been strictly maintained, ensuring readiness to mobilize to perform tasks in all situations. The division has always been the leading force in training and combat readiness of the military region; actively participating in storm and flood prevention, rescue, and overcoming the consequences of natural disasters... has been recognized and highly appreciated by the Ministry of National Defense and local Party committees, authorities, and people.

In carrying out its political tasks, Regiment 266 (Division 341) always strictly adheres to the instructions and orders of the military region and division on combat readiness training, develops plans, organizes training closely and seriously, and the results of the annual A-frame inspection always have a high rate of good and excellent. The regiment always excellently completes its central political task of mobilizing and training reserve troops. In carrying out the task of building a reserve mobilization force, the regiment has closely coordinated with the former Nghi Son Town Military Command (now under the Defense Command of Region 5) and the Party Committees, authorities, and military commanders of communes and wards to provide resources, conduct re-inspections, compensate, and supplement in a timely manner, in accordance with regulations, ensure good facilities, and call for concentrated training of tens of thousands of reserve mobilization soldiers with good results.

The work ofeducation and dissemination of propaganda tasks is focused on with many diverse forms, promptly orienting ideology, strengthening belief, encouraging action, enhancing the responsibility of cadres, party members and the masses in performing tasks. The work of policy, cadres, and internal political protection is given due attention, regularly grasping the situation, resolving and handling arising issues well, maintaining political stability.

To create a comprehensive strength, the division has focused on improving the quality of training, qualifications, and combat readiness. During the training process, the division has adhered to the motto "Basic, practical, solid" for new soldiers' frame A and "Basic, practical, effective" for frame B; focused on synchronous and in-depth training, effectively applying 3 viewpoints, 8 principles, 6 combinations. Thanks to that, the division's training quality has been increasingly improved, the annual inspection and evaluation of results shows that 100% of training subjects meet the requirements, of which over 80% are good and excellent, ensuring absolute safety for people, weapons, and technical equipment.

Along with organizing regular training well, the division attaches great importance to organizing drills to improve the qualifications of cadres at all levels, meeting the requirements and tasks when there is a mobilization order. Right from the beginning of the year, the division has developed a plan for command and agency drills on mobilization and assigned tasks to agencies and units to prepare and develop drill documents. At the same time, training is conducted for commanders, agencies and training frameworks on the order of steps and actions in transitioning to combat readiness, combat preparation, field reconnaissance methods and organizing the reception of reserve mobilization resources through stations, putting them into training and combat shooting. Every year, the division organizes drills and directs units to organize tactical drills at the infantry company level using air bullets, explosives and live ammunition. In parallel with the above contents, the division also coordinates with localities that assign resources to effectively implement the military rear policy; creating conditions for reserve soldiers to confidently participate in training.

Colonel Nguyen Van Linh, Political Commissar of Division 341, said: “Over the years, the unit has always been trusted and highly appreciated by the Head of the Military Region Command, and many collectives and individuals of the division have been awarded. Promoting the tradition of the unit being twice heroic, the officers and soldiers of the unit will continue to promote the building of the unit in the direction of becoming increasingly disciplined, elite and gradually modern, and performing well all tasks.”
