Morning of August 15, gold price decreased from historical peak

On the morning of August 15, the price of SJC gold bars decreased by 200,000 VND/tael from the historical peak of 124.7 million VND/tael.

Opening the market, businesses listed the price of SJC gold bars at 123.5 million VND/tael (buy) - 124.5 million VND/tael (sell), down 200,000 VND/tael each way compared to the end of yesterday.

For gold rings, Saigon Jewelry Company Limited set the price at 116.6 million VND/tael (buy) - 119.1 million VND/tael (sell), 200,000 VND/tael lower than the end of the previous day each way.

Bao Tin Minh Chau Company Limited reduced 500,000 VND/tael each way, down to 117 million VND/tael (buy) - 120 million VND/tael (sell).

Phu Nhuan Jewelry Joint Stock Company kept the buying price unchanged and reduced the selling price by VND300,000/tael, trading at VND116.8 million/tael (buying) - VND119.5 million/tael (selling).

The buying-selling margin commonly given by businesses is 1-3 million VND/tael.

Yesterday, the price of SJC gold bars increased by 500,000 VND/tael, reaching an all-time high of 123.7 million VND/tael (buy) - 124.7 million VND/tael (sell). The price of gold rings also increased.

On the international market, at 9:00 a.m. this morning, the gold price was trading at 3,339.3 USD/ounce, which is about 18.7 million VND/tael lower than the domestic gold price. This difference increased by nearly 700,000 VND/tael compared to the same time the previous day because the domestic gold price decreased more slowly than the world price.

Early this morning, the international gold price was trading at 3,333 USD/ounce, down more than 30 USD compared to the peak in last night's trading session, and nearly 30 USD/ounce lower than the same time the previous day.
