Nestlé Vietnam confirms that it only uses information from the Institute of Nutrition on the product label "Nestlé Milo barley milk supplement"
According to Dong Nai Department of Health, regarding the process of handling the case, immediately upon receiving information for handling, the Department of Health determined that this was a rather complicated case, involving many sectors, and subject to the impact of many specialized laws: Law on Food Safety, Law on Product and Goods Quality, Law on Advertising, Law on Technical Standards and Regulations, Law on Protection of Consumer Rights.
To ensure objectivity in the process of handling the case and promote responsibility in inter-sectoral coordination, the Department of Health has established an inter-sectoral inspection team in coordination with the Department of Investigation Police on crimes of corruption, economy , smuggling, and environment (PC 03 - Dong Nai Provincial Police), the Department of Justice, the Department of Science and Technology, the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism, and the Market Management Department of Dong Nai Province to conduct inspections, verifications, and clarifications of signs of violations by enterprises.
On May 28, the Technical Center for Standards, Metrology and Quality 3 returned test results number KT3-03213BTP5 for the Nestlé Milo barley milk supplement sample. The test results showed that the product had safety and quality indicators consistent with the enterprise's self-declared product profile.
Previously, on April 22, the Department of Food Safety (Ministry of Health) sent an official dispatch to the Department of Health of Dong Nai province regarding coordination in handling information related to advertising of Nestlé Milo barley milk products.
Dong Nai Provincial Department of Health worked with representatives of Nestlé Vietnam Company Limited.
Nestlé Vietnam confirms that it only uses information from the Institute of Nutrition on the product label "Nestlé Milo barley milk supplement", other products of the company do not use information from the Institute of Nutrition.
While waiting for instructions, Nestlé Vietnam has proactively stopped all advertisements related to the Institute of Nutrition on television, digital platforms, social networks, billboards...
