Ho Chi Minh City General Publishing House has just launched two new publications to celebrate the 80th anniversary of the August Revolution (August 19, 1945 - August 19, 2025) and the National Day of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam (September 2, 1945 - September 2, 2025). These are research and creative works of historical and cultural value, contributing to spreading the spirit of patriotism and national pride to a wide range of readers.
The first publication is the book “August Revolution 1945: The first great victory of the Vietnamese people in the 20th century” by Professor, Doctor, People's Teacher Trinh Nhu and Associate Professor, Doctor Tran Trong Tho. With 6 chapters, the book depicts the whole domestic and international context, the correct revolutionary line of the Party and the uprising strength of the people. The work analyzes the causes, significance, and historical significance of the uprising, and at the same time draws many valuable lessons for research, teaching and learning today.
Along with the research, the Publishing House also introduces the children's poetry collection "Baby Loves the Fatherland" by author Cao Mai Trang, illustrated by artist Nhat Anh Pham. With innocent, pure language and vivid images, the poetry collection opens up a beautiful picture of the homeland and country through the lens of children. The work aims to nurture love for the Fatherland and foster national pride from preschool age.

Ho Chi Minh City General Publishing House hopes that these two publications will not only recall the glorious milestones of the nation’s history but also inspire, arouse the pride and responsibility of today’s generation in the work of building and defending the Fatherland. The launch on the occasion of the whole country joyfully preparing for the A80th anniversary is also a profound gratitude to the heroic past, at the same time adding spiritual strength to the new journey of the nation.
