Nearly 30 years ago, the late poet Nguyen Trong Tao wrote such verses on the night he had to leave Hue . Looking at the Perfume River from the top of Kim Phung Mountain, he unintentionally let his soul “run aground” in Hue. I somewhat understood the poet’s sadness when he himself let his soul run aground between the green river and the green mountains, among the wandering clouds on the top of Bach Ma.
