They participate in reconciling conflicts, guiding people to develop production, preserve traditional cultural identity, and at the same time, actively propagating the prevention and combat of backward customs and superstitions.

Recently, during the tours and learning experiences in the Southwest, the delegation of prestigious people from the Southeast region of the province learned many good models of building cultural families, reducing poverty, and preventing and combating social evils. Ms. Huynh Thi Rung, a prestigious person of the Cham people in Hai Ninh commune, emotionally shared: "Through the trip, I am more deeply aware of the value of equality and respect in the ethnic policies of the Party and State. Although we are of different ethnicities and regions, we all share the same heart towards the Fatherland, studying and following the example of great Uncle Ho."

Prestigious people not only contribute to promoting socio -economic development, but also actively participate in the movement of the whole people to protect national security. In the coming time, Lam Dong will continue to promote the role of prestigious people through caring, encouraging, and fully implementing policies; at the same time, coordinating to grasp the situation, providing timely advice and handling, not allowing "hot spots" to arise. Prestigious people will also be given the opportunity to participate in social supervision and criticism, contributing to strengthening the grassroots political system.
