TASS quoted information from the ministry, noting that they are working on this issue with the Ministry of Justice , but the final decision still belongs to the Russian government.

Earlier, the head of the Taliban's political office in Qatar, Suheil Shaheen, pledged to continue fighting Vilayat Khorasan, the branch of the self-proclaimed Islamic State (IS) terrorist organization in Afghanistan.

Mr. Shaheen appreciated the possibility of cooperation with Russia in this direction after the terrorist attack at Crocus City Hall on March 22, which killed more than 140 people and injured more than 500 others. IS has claimed responsibility for this incident.

Meanwhile, Deputy Prime Minister Abdul Salam Hanafi of the Taliban-installed government in Afghanistan said that the movement wants the government to be officially recognized by the United Nations (UN).

In recent years, the Taliban has worked to combat corruption, ban opium cultivation and trafficking, and create lasting peace in the region, he said.

In a development related to the terrorist attack at the Crocus City Hall theater, on April 1, the Basmanny Court in Moscow ordered the 10th defendant, Yakubjoni Yusufzoda, to be detained until May 22.

Judge Natalia Dudar questioned the suspect, Yusufzoda, who said he was a citizen of Tajikistan, married with three children. Before his arrest, the suspect worked as an informal worker at a construction site.

According to the Investigative Committee, a few days before the terrorist attack, Yusufzoda transferred part of the money to one of the perpetrators of the incident “so that … the terrorists would have a place to stay”. After the attack, he also transferred money to the perpetrator.
