Meanwhile, all heavy military equipment, including tanks, as well as combat aircraft of the Wagner Private Military Company (PMC) were completely removed from the premises of the Southern Military District headquarters in Rostov-on-Don on Saturday, TASS correspondent reported.

After the turmoil on June 24, Wagner leader Yevgeny Prigozhin said he would end the rebellion in exchange for “security guarantees” for members of this mercenary force.

“Yevgeny Prigozhin has accepted President Alexander Lukashenko’s proposal to stop the Wagner rebellion and take further steps to reduce tensions between the two sides,” a statement from the Belarusian president’s office said.

Wagner launched a major mutiny in Russia overnight, trying to take control of the Southern Military District headquarters in Rostov and advance toward Moscow. President Putin said the uprising by the head of the Wagner military company was a betrayal of Russia and that he would do everything to protect Russia.
