At the end of August 2025, at Tan Tri Secondary School (Tan Tri Commune), Trieu Mai Phuong, a Dao ethnic minority student, grade 7B, happily hugged her new school bag that she received as a gift from the Legal Affairs Committee of the Provincial People's Council. Both parents are farmers, and the family's conditions are still difficult, but Phuong always tries to study well. "Receiving the gift before the new school year, I feel very happy and will try to study well to not let down the teachers and the aunts and uncles who have cared for and helped me." - Phuong excitedly shared.
Also in this new school year, at Doan Ket Primary and Secondary Boarding School for Ethnic Minorities (Doan Ket commune), two brothers Mac Tuan Long (grade 4) and Mac Xuan Truong (grade 3) received the attention of many benefactors. Both of them have congenital hemolytic anemia. Truong and his mother have just had a serious traffic accident that left them seriously injured and requiring long-term treatment. Although their families are near poverty and their parents do not have stable jobs, the two children still strive to go to class. Near the opening day, many organizations, individuals, and benefactors have come to the school and their homes to give gifts, encourage their spirit, and share difficulties with the family. Ms. Hoang Thi Hoa, the school's principal, shared: In May 2025, the school called for support for Mac Xuan Truong students and received more than 100 million VND. Through screening, the school has 15 students from poor and extremely disadvantaged households, and 4 students with disabilities. At the beginning of the new school year, we continue to mobilize, receive and give meaningful and practical gifts to support students going to school.
Not only students with difficult circumstances mentioned above, from the socialization of education movement, many students in the province have been supported and helped to go to school. In the 2024-2025 school year alone, the whole sector has mobilized over 10 billion VND, more than 70,000 working days and 285 m² of land to build and repair classrooms, auxiliary works, playgrounds... and at the same time launched a movement to donate textbooks to support libraries in schools in disadvantaged areas. Thereby contributing to the goal of building increasingly spacious, clean and beautiful schools and classrooms, creating the best conditions for students to go to school to study and practice. By the beginning of the 2025-2026 school year, the whole province has 648 schools, of which over 300 schools have met national standards.
Mr. Ho Cong Liem, Deputy Director of the Department of Education and Training, said: Implementing Plan No. 113 dated June 29, 2020 of the Provincial People's Committee on promoting socialization of education in the period of 2020 - 2025, in recent times, the education sector has thoroughly grasped and integrated socialization content into the plan of each school year and each educational institution. We focus on mobilizing the participation of organizations, unions, businesses and people, both creating more resources and contributing to limiting the situation of students dropping out of school. We hope that agencies, units, organizations and individuals will continue to accompany the education sector, join hands so that all students have the opportunity to go to school, nurture their dreams and develop comprehensively.
Accordingly, agencies, units, businesses, organizations, unions, and people have made practical contributions and support to schools and students. Bao Viet Life Lang Son Company has been accompanying schools for many years, presenting meaningful gifts. Mr. Dang Thanh Binh, Deputy Director of Bao Viet Life Lang Son Company said: Implementing the coordination program between the company and the Vietnam Children's Support Fund, every year, at the beginning of the new school year, we receive scholarships, backpacks, and bicycles to give to poor students who overcome difficulties. This year, we received 20 bicycles and 60 backpacks worth nearly 70 million VND to give to students at schools on the opening day. We believe that this small, practical gift will be a motivation for students to continue to excel in their studies.
The spacious constructions or small gifts all contain the community’s feelings and responsibilities for the future generations. The socialization of education in Lang Son has deeply demonstrated the community’s concern for the education cause, so that each new school year is more complete.
