Looking back at the results of recent school years, it can be seen that with continuous innovation, the quality of education in Quang Ninh has changed dramatically. In the 2025 National High School Excellent Student Competition, Quang Ninh province won 88 prizes, an increase of 3 prizes compared to the previous year and also the highest ever, with 2 First prizes, 27 Second prizes, 30 Third prizes, and 29 Encouragement prizes. The results of the 10th grade entrance exam for the 2025-2026 school year have made remarkable progress, with the percentage of average or higher entrance exam scores in the whole province being 68.46% (8.04% higher than the 2024-2025 school year).
In the 2025 high school graduation exam, the province's average score was 6.19 points; ranked 12th out of 34 provinces and cities. The rate of teachers meeting the training standards in the province is currently 98%, and it is expected that by 2026, 100% of teachers will meet the standards prescribed by the Law on Education. For management staff, 100% will meet the standard level or higher; for teachers, the standard level at preschool level is 2% higher than the national level; the standard level at primary level is 5.1% higher than the national level; the standard level at secondary level is 0.7% higher than the national level; the standard level at high school level is 0.1% higher than the national level.
These achievements have become a great driving force, creating confidence and strength for teachers and students of the education and training sector to successfully complete new tasks in the new school year 2025-2026. Accordingly, this school year, the entire sector will continue to effectively organize the implementation of the tasks of institutionalizing the Party's guidelines and policies and the State's laws on education and training development, focusing on implementing the Law on Teachers; Law on amending and supplementing a number of articles of the Education Law; Law on amending Vocational Education, along with policies on decentralization, delegation of power and implementation of the 2-level local government model in the education sector.
In addition, the sector advises on the arrangement and reorganization of public service units under the Department of Education and Training in the new period; continues to innovate school administration towards increasing autonomy, enhancing accountability, promoting democracy in educational institutions; and promoting digital transformation in school administration.
The Department of Education and Training continues to implement the Preschool Education Program, innovate methods and forms to improve the quality of nurturing, caring for and educating children. In particular, improve the effectiveness of teaching methods and forms, testing and evaluation to develop students' qualities and capacities; promote and improve the quality of STEM/STEAM education, education to develop digital capacity, technology application skills, use of AI, career guidance education for students after middle school and high school; improve the quality of foreign language teaching, especially English; prepare good conditions to ensure that English gradually becomes the second language in general education institutions.
The whole sector is actively implementing the State's policy of supporting lunch for primary and secondary school students in places with conditions, with priority given to mountainous border communes; strictly implementing regulations on revenues in the education and training sector for the 2025-2026 school year, strengthening decentralized state management of revenues according to regulations.
Schools also focus on innovating the content, methods, and forms of education on ethics, lifestyle, behavioral culture, life skills, and professional skills; and educating students about the law through educational activities.
In addition, effectively implement programs and projects on school health and health protection and care for children, pupils and students; strengthen disease prevention, ensure food safety and improve the capacity of school health staff; update health data, organize periodic health check-ups and deploy electronic health books.
Schools also promote the effective implementation of the movement "The entire education sector competes in innovation, improves the quality of education and training, provides high-quality human resources, meets the requirements of national development" in the period 2025-2030.
With practical tasks and solutions, teachers and Quang Ninh education sector is making constant efforts, being creative and innovative, continuing to implement the goal of fundamental and comprehensive innovation in education and training.
