In the 4th live show of Vietnam Idol, contestant Diem Hang Lamoon continued to affirm her title of “chameleon” with her transformation on stage. Choosing the hit song Yeu Dau Theo Gio Bay by Hien Thuc, Diem Hang cleverly “transformed” the song into a version with her own color with her trademark baby voice.

My Tam gave many compliments to Diem Hang, however, the female judge advised the contestant to limit her dancing because it seemed a bit greedy. My Tam thought that if Lamoon just stood in one place and danced lightly at the end, it would be better than showing off the choreography.
However, musician Huy Tuan immediately objected: "If it's me, I can have whatever I want. But this is a competition, so the contestants just want to show off." The musician also praised Diem Hang for singing very well, making him wonder if this female contestant lip-synced or not.

Also in the live show night, contestant Thu Hien Hellen continued to break through with the song Bad boy. Judge My Tam highly appreciated the choice of this song, saying that Hellen overcame the limitations of last week. However, Hellen needs to control the high notes. Immediately, judge My Tam warned musician Huy Tuan not to praise the contestants anymore but to focus on his expertise. The female singer also joked that after the competition night, she would tell Huy Tuan's wife because he repeatedly praised the contestants for their beauty. At the end of the 4th round of Vietnam Idol 2023, contestant PiaLinh had to say goodbye to the show. My Tam said that the singer of Cooking for You stopping at this position would be "the best thing" for her.
