Ho Chi Minh City Open University and Ho Chi Minh City University of Culture have just announced the minimum admission scores for 2025. The minimum scores are very different from the previous year's benchmark scores.
At Ho Chi Minh City University of Culture , the minimum score for the high school graduation exam for all majors is 15 points. This minimum score is 11 to nearly 13 points lower than the standard score for many majors in 2024.
At Ho Chi Minh City Open University , the minimum score for the high school graduation exam is 15-16 points depending on the major. Compared to the 2024 standard score, the minimum score for many majors is 6 to nearly 9 points different.
The school also announced the equivalent conversion formulas for the V-SAT exams, assessing the capacity of Ho Chi Minh City National University.
Of course, the floor score is just the minimum score, candidates who reach this level are eligible to apply for admission. The standard score depends on the number and test scores of candidates applying for the major. However, the floor score difference of nearly 13 points compared to 2024 is too large.
Meanwhile, Vietnam Aviation Academy has lowered the minimum score compared to the previous admission announcement. Accordingly, the minimum score for the high school graduation exam is from 16 to 20.
Except for the aviation operations management and aviation engineering industries with a floor score of 20 as previously announced, the remaining industries decreased by 1 point.
The above two majors also have the floor scores for the Ho Chi Minh City National University's competency assessment exam increased compared to the previous announcement, while the remaining majors have decreased. With the transcript method, the floor scores for all majors have increased. The floor scores for international certificates have also decreased sharply compared to the previous announcement.
