Long An province currently has 93 offices and operational facilities of provincial agencies, organizations and units, with a total land area of over 409,893m2 , and a floor area of over 193,555m2 (not including operational facilities of provincial departments and branches in districts, towns and medical andeducational facilities).
According to the arrangement plan, 80 headquarters and public service facilities will continue to be managed and used in their original state by provincial agencies and units. Among these, some headquarters are being used jointly and will be relocated to ensure sufficient working space after the agencies are merged.
The working offices and public service facilities that are currently vacant or no longer in use are expected to be arranged and repurposed as working offices and public service facilities after the merger of Long An and Tay Ninh provinces.
As for the 13 redundant working offices and public service establishments, the procedures for handling them must be carried out according to regulations.
According to the plan, after merging Long An and Tay Ninh provinces into the new Tay Ninh province, the headquarters of a number of agencies and units will also be rearranged to ensure better operations.
Accordingly, the Provincial Party Committee's Propaganda and Mass Mobilization Department plans to move out of the Provincial Party Committee's premises and arrange to work at the old office of the Long An Provincial People's Court, No. 116 Truong Dinh, Ward 1, Tan An City.
The Provincial Party Committee's Internal Affairs Committee will arrange to work at the old Tan An City Tax Department and Tan An City Urban Management Department (these two offices are adjacent).
The Department of Ethnic Minorities and Religions (planned to be newly established) works at the old headquarters of the Provincial Party Committee's Internal Affairs Committee at 40 Cach Mang Thang Tam, Ward 1, Tan An City.
The Office of the National Assembly Delegation and the Provincial People's Council will arrange additional old offices of the Department of Finance at 06 Phan Boi Chau, Ward 1 and 57 Truong Dinh, Ward 1, An An City (these two offices are adjacent and the office on the land at 57 Truong Dinh will be liquidated and demolished due to deterioration).
The Department of Finance works at 61 Truong Dinh, Ward 1, Tan An City and the old office of the Provincial State Treasury.
The Department of Foreign Affairs plans to move out of the Provincial People's Committee premises and arrange to work at the old office of the Economic Zone Management Board, located at 65 Chau Van Giac, Ward 1, Tan An City.
The Department of Home Affairs relocates the old office of the Department of Construction to 19 Tran Hung Dao, Ward 1, Tan An City.
The Department of Science and Technology plans to relocate from Block 3 of the Provincial Political and Administrative Center and arrange work at the headquarters of the Center for Technical Application, Science and Technology Information, at 367 National Highway 1, Ward 4, Tan An City.
The Center for Application, Technology, Science and Technology Information works at the headquarters of the Center for Land Fund Development and Environmental Resources Services, currently located at 365 National Highway 1, Ward 4, Tan An City.
After its establishment, the Provincial Land Fund Development Center under the Provincial People's Committee will be located at 137 National Highway 1, Ward 4, Tan An City and will also be located at the old office of Tan An City Police at 141 National Highway 1, Ward 4, Tan An City.
The Sports Training and Competition Center arranges the old office of the Department of Agriculture and Rural Development in Ward 5, Tan An City to arrange accommodation, living, studying and training for students and athletes.
The Provincial Museum - Library arranges the working headquarters of the Tan An City Cultural, Information and Broadcasting Center at 08 and 42 Vo Van Tan, Ward 1, Tan An City (because the Library headquarters at 26 Truong Cong Xuong, Ward 1, Tan An City has degraded, level C danger).
The Department of Health relocates the old office of the Department of Information and Communications to 38 Thu Khoa Huan, Ward 1, Tan An City.
The Provincial Inspectorate arranged an additional office for the People's Committee of Ward 1 at 81 Thu Khoa Huan, Ward 1, Tan An City.
The arrangement of the post-merger office premises is carried out in the spirit of saving and making the most of existing facilities; at the same time, ensuring working conditions for agencies and units. Facilities that are seriously degraded and no longer meet the conditions for use will be handled according to regulations.
The reorganization will contribute to improving the operational efficiency of administrative agencies, ensuring consistency and connectivity in the operation of the government apparatus after the merger, towards a modern, streamlined and effective management model./.
