Da Nang City leaders offer incense at the Martyrs' Cemetery and the Monument of Heroic Vietnamese Mothers

DNO - On the morning of August 25, in Quang Phu ward, a delegation of the People's Committee of Da Nang city led by comrade Luong Nguyen Minh Triet, alternate member of the Party Central Committee, Deputy Secretary of the City Party Committee, Chairman of the City People's Committee, came to offer flowers and incense at the Martyrs' Cemetery and the Monument of Heroic Vietnamese Mothers.

Also attending were comrades: Ngo Xuan Thang, Deputy Secretary of the City Party Committee; Le Tri Thanh, Chairman of the City Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee; members of the Standing Committee of the City Party Committee, Standing Committee of the People's Council, People's Committee, Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of the city, and representatives of the City National Assembly Delegation.

In a solemn atmosphere, Chairman of the City People's Committee Luong Nguyen Minh Triet and delegates respectfully offered flowers, incense, and observed a moment of silence to express their boundless gratitude to the heroic martyrs.

The Party Committee, government and people of Da Nang city pledge to continue to inherit and promote the revolutionary tradition, unite and compete in labor production, determined to build the homeland and country to become more and more prosperous, worthy of the sacrifice of heroic martyrs.

Through the two resistance wars against France and the US, Quang Nam province (old) had 65,480 martyrs, currently there are still about 22,000 martyrs whose information is missing, and 7,000 martyrs whose remains have not been found.

At the Monument to the Martyrs of Thanh Hoa, Chairman of the City People's Committee Luong Nguyen Minh Triet and the delegation offered flowers and incense to pay tribute and commemorate the great contributions of 1,340 heroic martyrs, the outstanding sons of Thanh Hoa who fought and sacrificed on the battlefield of Quang Nam.

During the resistance war against the US to save the country, Thanh Hoa province sent thousands of cadres and soldiers to the Quang Nam battlefield. During the most difficult times, about half of the soldiers on the Quang Nam battlefield were Thanh Hoa people fighting side by side for their beloved Quang Nam.

At the Monument of Heroic Vietnamese Mothers, Chairman of the City People's Committee Luong Nguyen Minh Triet and delegates offered flowers and incense in memory, expressing their respect and deep gratitude for the great contributions and sacrifices of Heroic Vietnamese Mothers in the struggle for national liberation, building and defending the country.

Through two resistance wars, Quang Nam province (old) had 15,360 mothers who were awarded and posthumously awarded the honorable title of Vietnamese Heroic Mother by the Party and State.

Today's generation forever remembers the great contributions of Vietnamese heroic mothers and heroic martyrs who devoted and sacrificed for the Fatherland.
