Lang Chanh focuses on vocational training for rural workers

Based on the needs of the people, the Lang Chanh District Vocational Education and Continuing Education Center always focuses on innovating vocational training for rural workers. Every year, the center organizes investigations, surveys, and identifies training occupations that are linked to practical needs and suitable to the capacity of workers. At the same time, mobilize resources to invest in equipment and facilities to better serve vocational training work. From 2024 to the end of May 2025, the center has opened 8 vocational training classes for rural workers. After participating in vocational training classes, many students have known how to apply them in practice, contributing to economic efficiency. A typical example is Ms. Le Thi Hoang, Oi quarter, Lang Chanh town, after participating in the livestock training course, she applied them in practice to bring economic efficiency. Ms. Hoang said: "In 2023, I attended a livestock training course at the Lang Chanh District Vocational Training Center. After completing the course, I learned how to care for and prevent diseases for livestock. Thanks to that, livestock grew well, had high productivity, and my family's income also increased."

Mr. Le Van Vinh, Director of Lang Chanh District Vocational Education and Continuing Education Center, said: In order to achieve high results in vocational training for rural workers, Lang Chanh District Vocational Education and Continuing Education Center has selected training majors suitable to the learners' abilities; selected teachers with easy-to-understand knowledge transfer methods so that learners can absorb the fastest.

Identifying vocational training for rural workers as one of the important solutions to implement labor restructuring and new rural construction, Lang Chanh district has directed departments, functional units, communes and towns to promote propaganda and mobilize workers to participate in vocational training. At the same time, mobilize all resources for vocational training and promptly support funding for trainees to participate in vocational training in accordance with State regulations. From 2023 to present, Lang Chanh district has organized 14 vocational training classes for rural workers, with main training occupations such as: Community tourism ; weaving; livestock breeding techniques; buffalo, cow and poultry care. After completing the course, many trainees create jobs for themselves and have stable incomes. Thereby, contributing to improving knowledge, skills, creating jobs, and increasing income for workers; reducing the poverty rate of the district to 11.4%; The rate of trained workers increased to 51%; the lives of people in the district improved, and the appearance of the countryside changed a lot.

In the coming time, localities in Lang Chanh district will continue to promote propaganda and mobilize people to participate in vocational training and find jobs to increase income and improve the quality of life. Innovate and improve the quality of vocational training; choose occupations suitable to the capacity, qualifications of workers and market demand. Direct specialized departments, communes and towns to coordinate with functional agencies to organize inspection, supervision and evaluation of the quality of vocational training activities, thereby having timely solutions to improve the quality of vocational training for rural workers.
