Spreading the strength of solidarity to build new rural areas and civilized urban areas

Over the past years, the campaign "All people unite to build new rural areas (NTM) and civilized urban areas" has spread strongly throughout the province. With the motto "taking people as the center", the campaign has promoted the strength of the community from each household, neighborhood to village, hamlet, socio-political organization, creating a vibrant emulation movement.

The road in Dam Buon village (Dam Ha commune) has been expanded and become more beautiful thanks to people donating land to pave the way for new rural construction.

Throughout the province, people have actively participated in building infrastructure, donating land for road construction, and contributing labor and funds to improve the living environment. Thanks to the joint efforts of the whole community, more than 95% of village roads and alleys have been concreted, and the electricity system, roads, schools, and stations have been upgraded synchronously.

The Vietnam Fatherland Front Committees at all levels have also concretized the campaign by building and replicating 261 typical models in residential areas. Models such as "Green - clean - beautiful roads", "Residential areas without social evils", "Family of 5 no 3 clean", "Self-managed security cameras", "Model residential groups", "Lighting up the countryside roads"... have clearly demonstrated their effectiveness, contributing to improving the quality of life, maintaining security and order, the environment and landscape, and promoting a civilized lifestyle.

The campaign also focuses on preserving and promoting local cultural identity, linking new rural construction with heritage conservation. Many festivals of ethnic minorities such as Soong Co, Long Tong, Dai Phan, etc. are maintained annually, becoming cultural highlights serving the development of community tourism. The Northeast Ethnic Culture Festival and the festival in Hai Son commune attract a large number of tourists, contributing to introducing the beauty of regional culture to communities inside and outside the province. Many localities regularly maintain art and sports clubs such as folk dance, volleyball, community libraries, etc., contributing to creating a healthy playground and connecting the community. The rate of people participating in activities at cultural houses reaches over 50%; each facility maintains 2-5 clubs operating regularly. In addition, many meaningful events are held periodically such as the Residential Area Singing Festival (every 2.5 years), National Great Unity Day (November 18 every year), becoming a bridge to strengthen the relationship between neighbors, spreading the spirit of solidarity and mutual love in the residential community.

Propaganda and mobilization work has always been focused on, helping people raise awareness and voluntarily practice civilized lifestyles. The province has issued over 46,500 leaflets on village conventions and regulations in residential areas. To date, the whole province has 1,452/1,452 villages and areas that have issued and implemented village conventions and regulations in accordance with tradition and practice.

The campaign received the active participation of many forces. The Provincial Military Command is one of the typical examples when it widely deployed the campaign associated with the movement " Quang Ninh Armed Forces join hands to build the New Rural Area", supporting over 32 billion VND to build cultural houses, schools, remote and isolated schools, incinerators, hygienic toilets... Thereby, the image of "Uncle Ho's soldiers" continues to be affirmed in the hearts of the people, deeply spreading humanistic values ​​and closely connecting the army and people.

The tea growing model according to VietGAP standards of Mr. Bui Van Cu's family (village 6, Quang Thinh commune, Hai Ha district, now Quang Duc commune) brings high income, contributing to the construction of local new rural areas.

By the end of 2024, the whole province had 91/91 communes meeting the new rural standards; 54 communes meeting the advanced standards; 25 communes meeting the model standards. 13/13 districts, towns and cities have completed the task of building new rural areas. Along with that, the rate of cultural families reached nearly 95%, the rate of cultural villages, hamlets and neighborhoods reached about 97%. Over 99% of weddings and funerals were carried out in accordance with regulations, economically and civilly. 100% of wards and towns have effectively implemented the Code of Conduct in the locality.

This result shows the strength of solidarity, consensus and creativity in each community. The campaign "All people unite to build new rural areas and civilized urban areas" has continued to arouse good values ​​in social life, contributing to building Quang Ninh into a province with comprehensive development, in harmony between economy - culture - people - environment.
