For the first time, Ca Na seaport welcomes a cargo ship with a capacity of over 53,000 tons.

At noon on June 26, the cargo ship MV VOSCO UNITY (Vietnamese nationality) with a capacity of more than 53,000 tons docked at Ca Na General Seaport to load and unload about 40,880 tons of granite powder for export to Singapore.

The event of welcoming ships with a capacity of over 53,000 tons will be a favorable first step in connecting road and waterway goods in the system, aiming to become a transit point for goods for the entire South Central Coast and Central Highlands regions; at the same time, adding to the list of major seaports in the Central region capable of welcoming ships with a capacity of 50,000 tons or more, contributing to relieving pressure on seaports in the Southeast region and Ho Chi Minh City.

The Ca Na General Seaport Project invested by Trung Nam Investment - Construction Joint Stock Company has a total planning area of 85.52 hectares, including two ports to receive general cargo, container cargo, and bulk cargo.

A representative of Trung Nam Company said that the unit is successively implementing investment in the construction of infrastructure for Ca Na Industrial Park; the Ca Na LNG Power Center project phase 1 with a capacity of 1,500 MW, the traffic route connecting the North-South Expressway with National Highway 1 and Ca Na General Seaport... to create a complete whole, ensuring the goal of synchronous and harmonious development, creating a breakthrough for Ninh Thuan to develop a sustainable marine economy in the future.
