Lai Chau promotes digital transformation and training high-quality human resources

On the afternoon of June 6, Lai Chau province signed a cooperation agreement with the Academy of Posts and Telecommunications Technology on promoting research, application of science and technology, innovation and digital transformation; at the same time, training and fostering to improve the quality of human resources for Lai Chau province in the period of 2025-2030.

According to the agreement, the two sides will coordinate to implement research topics and projects, apply and develop digital technology , especially technologies such as artificial intelligence (AI), big data, blockchain...

One of the specific contents is to organize training at least one postgraduate level for cadres, civil servants, public employees, workers and students of Lai Chau province in the fields of information technology, digital transformation, electronics-telecommunications, digital economy , multimedia communications and other fields according to local needs.

In addition, the academy will support Lai Chau province’s businesses to access the latest research results on AI, serving production and business activities; coordinate to improve the quality of human resources in the postal and telecommunications sector to promote the province’s sustainable development in the coming time.

Speaking at the event, Lai Chau provincial leaders affirmed that the signing ceremony demonstrated the province's political determination in implementing the tasks and solutions in Resolution 57-NQ/TW and Resolution 71/NQ-CP on promoting science and technology, innovation and digital transformation, contributing to accelerating the socio-economic development process.

Immediately after the signing ceremony, the Academy of Posts and Telecommunications Technology will begin implementing the committed contents, and at the same time coordinate with localities to promote support for local people and students to access modern technology.

Also within the framework of the program, the academy donated 20 sets of STEM equipment to the education sector of Lai Chau province; at the same time, leaders of the Provincial People's Committee, the academy and departments and branches introduced the "Digital Education for the People of Lai Chau Province" Information Portal - a platform to popularize digital knowledge to local people.
