Comrade Le Quoc Minh
"Loyalty" is the expression of the steadfastness of the revolutionary stance and ideals of the Communist Party of Vietnam, loyalty to the highest interests of the nation, people and people. Journalists must always be exemplary in protecting the Party's ideological foundation, resolutely fighting against erroneous and hostile viewpoints.
In today's digital age, creativity is the key to journalism's survival and development. Creativity is not only about innovation in content and form of expression, but also the ability to apply new technologies such as artificial intelligence and big data to create high-quality, attractive, and diverse journalism products that suit the tastes and information access of the modern public.

Strong political will is an indispensable quality of a revolutionary journalist. We need to be brave in reflecting the truth, engaging in hot, sensitive issues to fight against negativity, corruption, and waste. At the same time, we must have the courage to overcome pressure, material temptations, and maintain morality and social responsibility.
Innovation is a continuous and inevitable process. The press needs to innovate its thinking and working methods, from the traditional newsroom model to a converged, multi-platform newsroom. Innovation is to improve competitiveness. Innovation is also the continuous learning and improvement of professional qualifications and skills to meet the increasing demands of readers and the general development trend of the world.
"All of these factors aim at the highest goal of 'for the cause of building and defending the Fatherland'. The press must be the vanguard in spreading good values, promoting patriotism and national unity, contributing to creating a combined strength for our country to increasingly develop and prosper and firmly protect its independence, sovereignty and territorial integrity," comrade Le Quoc Minh emphasized.
THE PRESS MUST DEVELOP PROPORTIONALLY AND GROW WITH THE NATION
Speaking at the Press Conference, Comrade Nguyen Trong Nghia, Politburo member, Secretary of the Party Central Committee, Head of the Central Propaganda and Mass Mobilization Commission affirmed that, keeping in mind the advice of beloved Uncle Ho: “Journalists are also revolutionary soldiers. Pens and paper are their sharp weapons”, generations of revolutionary journalists have always been steadfast, persistent, and pioneers, affirming their role as the shock force on the ideological-cultural front, contributing to creating consensus, arousing strong will and belief in the victory of the cause of national liberation, national reunification and the current cause of innovation, development and integration.
The press is truly the voice of the Party and the State, a trusted forum for the people; a strong bridge between the Party's will and the people's hearts; a mirror reflecting the thoughts, feelings and aspirations of the whole society; a place to spread humanistic values, promote beauty and rightness, resolutely fight against evil and wrongness; take the lead in protecting the Party's ideological foundation, fight against and refute erroneous and hostile views; light up the people's faith and contribute to the advancement of socialism led by the Communist Party of Vietnam.
"This year's Press Festival is a vivid symbol of the spirit of inheritance and development: From the space displaying the rich history of journalism, to the exhibitions of press documents, digital press products, and the application of new technology, all have vividly demonstrated the journey of development from tradition to modernity, from print, electronic, spoken, visual newspapers to multi-platform journalism, from 'pen, paper' to 'artificial intelligence, big data'...", he emphasized.

According to comrade Nguyen Trong Nghia, the 2nd National Press Forum within the framework of the National Press Festival 2025 will address strategic and topical issues of modern journalism. This is not only an opportunity for journalists to discuss expertise, but also an opportunity to reflect and shape a long-term development strategy for the country's revolutionary journalism in the context of globalization and digital transformation taking place strongly today.
Faced with current new requirements, he noted that each press agency and journalist must always be self-conscious in studying and improving their professional knowledge; maintain and promote political will, be determined to innovate more strongly; and increase the application of technology, especially digital transformation and artificial intelligence to change the process of producing, distributing and accessing press information.
We must take innovation as a driving force and technology as a tool to elevate the Vietnamese press. Moreover, we must boldly innovate from within - innovate the thinking of press leadership, innovate the editorial model, innovate the method of content production and distribution, and innovate the relationship between the press and the public. The press needs to deepen its role in social criticism, protect the Party's ideological foundation, promote solidarity, create consensus, strongly arouse patriotism and national pride, inspire and aspire to contribute, and contribute to bringing the country firmly into a new era, an era of wealth, civilization, prosperity, and national development.
According to him, the Vietnamese revolutionary press has gone through a glorious century. But glory is only truly valuable when it is followed by the aspiration to reach further. Today's opening ceremony is to remember, to show gratitude and also for us to look forward together.

He hopes that each journalist and each press agency will work together to create the future: Innovation in thinking, innovation in expression and deeper social role. The public comes to the National Press Festival today to affirm their trust and expectations for the team of steadfast writers as well as revolutionary press products that will truly shine, "leading the way" in the era of national development, comrade Nguyen Trong Nghia affirmed.
Reiterating the words of General Secretary To Lam: “ The new era also sets new and higher requirements for revolutionary journalism, requiring the press to develop accordingly, grow together with the nation, and be worthy of professional, humane, and modern journalism”, comrade Nguyen Trong Nghia affirmed: the strategic orientation is the order of action for us today – so that from this Press Conference, the Vietnamese revolutionary press can firmly enter a new stage with a steadfast stance, a desire for innovation, and a noble mission: serving the Fatherland and the people.
"Each journalist will love their profession more, be more steadfast and have more aspirations to continue on the new path with a higher spirit of dedication and responsibility, worthy of being a pioneering force on the ideological-cultural front in the new era," he emphasized.
