The case is being investigated and handled according to the provisions of law.

Xuyen Viet Oil Trading and Tourism Company Limited is one of nearly 40 major petroleum trading enterprises nationwide, granted a petroleum import and export business license by the Ministry of Industry and Trade on November 19, 2021, valid for 5 years.

In mid-August, the Minister of Industry and Trade decided to revoke the petroleum export and import business license of this company.

The authorities also requested the above company to immediately transfer the entire amount of the Petroleum Price Stabilization Fund at the enterprise to the state budget and send a copy of the money transfer documents to the Ministry of Finance (Price Management Department) and the Ministry of Industry and Trade (Domestic Market Department).

Previously, in 2022, Xuyen Viet Oil had its import clearance for gasoline and oil temporarily suspended by the customs authority due to the company's late tax payment, with the amount of tax forced to be collected amounting to over VND 684 billion. In the report for the first 6 months of this year by the Ho Chi Minh City Tax Department, Xuyen Viet Oil was on the list of businesses with high tax debts, amounting to VND 1,531 billion.
