Memorable Moment: March 31, 1975 - The Final Battle Decided

March 31, 1975: The Politburo met and decided to launch a general offensive and uprising to liberate Saigon.

At the end of March 1975, our army continuously won great victories in the Central Highlands Campaign (from March 4 to April 3, 1975) and the Hue- Da Nang Campaign (March 5-29, 1975), causing heavy losses to the enemy.

On March 31, 1975, the Politburo met and determined: "The revolutionary war in the South has not only entered a period of leapfrogging development, but the strategic opportunity to launch a general offensive and general uprising against the enemy's lair has ripened.

From this moment on, the final strategic battle of our army and people has begun, aiming to complete the people's national democratic revolution in the South and achieve peaceful reunification of the Fatherland."

The Politburo decided to further grasp the strategic opportunity, with the guiding ideology: Speed, boldness, surprise, sure victory, with great determination to carry out a general offensive and uprising to liberate Saigon as soon as possible, preferably in April 1975, without delay.

March 31, 2024: Opening of "Loving Vietnamese Class" in Korea

One year ago, on the afternoon of March 31, 2024, at the headquarters of the Vietnamese Embassy in Seoul, under the auspices of the Vietnamese Embassy in Korea, the Vietnamese Association in Korea held the opening ceremony of the "Loving Vietnamese Language Class" to help children of Vietnamese-Korean multicultural families learn their mother tongue and contribute to preserving the traditional cultural beauty of the country.

Currently, the Vietnamese community has about 300,000 people living and working in Korea, of which the number of women married to Koreans accounts for more than 70,000 people.

Children born into a Vietnamese-Korean multicultural family are not only different but also have a great advantage. Being good at Vietnamese and absorbing Vietnamese culture will help them have more opportunities to develop their own values./.
