* Department of Science and Technology works with Software Technology Center (Can Tho University)
On July 24, Deputy Director of the Department of Science and Technology Vo Hoang Khai received and worked with representatives of the Software Technology Center ( Can Tho University).
At the meeting, representatives of the Software Technology Center shared and introduced innovation management software, electronic ISO software and some services supporting digital transformation activities.

In particular, the innovation management software (CUSC-IES) is a tool to support the digitalization of the review, scoring and recognition process of the effectiveness and scope of influence of initiatives in agencies and units in compliance with relevant regulations. In particular, the software integrates artificial intelligence (AI) to detect duplicate ideas, enhancing transparency and efficiency in review.
Electronic ISO software is a solution to support the construction, application and maintenance of a quality management system according to TCVN ISO 9001:2015 standards on an electronic platform. This software helps digitize the entire quality management process according to relevant regulations. At the same time, it integrates and shares data with the information system for handling administrative procedures, managing executive documents, supporting ISO scoring and monitoring online implementation according to current regulations.
At the meeting, Deputy Director of the Department of Science and Technology Vo Hoang Khai assigned departments and specialized units to act as focal points to exchange and share information with the Software Technology Center (Can Tho University) to consult and propose solutions on digital transformation and appropriate technology application when implementing digital transformation tasks in the province.

* Provincial Red Cross Society hands over solid house in Tan Phu commune
On July 24, the Provincial Red Cross and sponsors handed over solid houses to two families in Tan Phu commune. Specifically, the two houses were handed over to the family of Mr. Be Van Heo (Tay ethnic group) and the family of Mr. Tran Van Phuc, both of whom are extremely disadvantaged households in the locality, with a member suffering from a serious illness, no land for production, and no stable job.

Each house was supported with an initial construction cost of 80 million VND (including: 50 million VND sponsored by Vedan Vietnam Joint Stock Company, 30 million VND supported by the locality). In addition, during the process of completing the house, each family, clan and local people contributed more. Thanks to that, each house after completion is worth nearly 100 million VND or more.
On this occasion, the Provincial Red Cross Society, sponsors and local authorities presented the two families receiving new houses with some gifts of household appliances and food.

On the morning of July 24, the Internal Political Security Department of Dong Nai Provincial Police coordinated with local authorities and Hanoi - Dong Nai Eye Hospital to organize the National Security Protection Day 2025 in Tan Phu commune.

During the program, the Organizing Committee presented 20 gifts to families with meritorious services; at the same time, the medical team of Hanoi - Dong Nai Eye Hospital also examined and treated eye diseases and presented gifts to 200 cases of veterans, former youth volunteers and disadvantaged people in the area. The Organizing Committee also conducted a survey to build a charity house for people in especially difficult circumstances.
According to the leader of the Internal Political Security Department, the festival took place in a joyful and united atmosphere, clearly demonstrating the strength of the great national unity bloc in the cause of protecting national security.

* Caught 2 subjects transporting 2,980 packs of smuggled cigarettes
On July 23, Bu Dop Border Guard Station, Dong Nai Province Border Guard organized a patrol force, ambushed and caught two subjects transporting a large quantity of smuggled cigarettes from the border into the inland.
Accordingly, in the area of Production Team No. 6 - Regiment 717 (in Phuoc Tien Hamlet, Hung Phuoc Commune, Dong Nai Province), about 300m from the border patrol road, the patrol team of Bu Dop Border Guard Station discovered two subjects driving a motorbike with suspicious signs. When checking, the authorities discovered that both were transporting a total of 2,980 packs of smuggled cigarettes. The two subjects are Vo Hoang Tien, born in 2002, residing in Hamlet 4, Thien Hung Commune and Nguyen Xuan Hao, born in 2007, residing in Hamlet 8, Thanh Hoa Commune, Dong Nai Province.

At the time of arrest, both subjects could not present legal documents related to the above goods. Through initial investigation, the subjects confessed that they had purchased cigarettes from a Cambodian with the purpose of transporting them into the country for consumption in order to make a profit, and at the same time admitted to violating the law.
Bu Dop Border Guard Station has drawn up a record and issued a decision to temporarily detain the person, vehicle and exhibits to continue investigating and handling according to legal regulations.
