Speaking at the ceremony, Mr. To Dinh Tuan, Editor-in-Chief of Nguoi Lao Dong Newspaper, said: After more than 5 years of implementation (from June 2, 2019), Nguoi Lao Dong Newspaper has awarded and signed to award more than 2 million national flags to localities across the country.

The “National Flag Road” inaugurated in Truong Xuan A and Truong Xuan B communes is a project to commemorate the “Pride of the National Flag” program reaching the milestone of donating 2 million flags; practically welcoming the 95th anniversary of the founding of the Vietnam Trade Union (July 28, 1929 - July 28, 2024) and towards the 5th anniversary of the implementation of the “Pride of the National Flag” program.

On this occasion, the Lao Dong Newspaper presented a symbolic board of 5,000 flags from the “National Flag Road” component to Can Tho City, so that the locality can carry out the “National Flag Road” projects in the area. At the same time, it presented 100 scholarships to students who have overcome difficulties and studied well in Thoi Lai district, Cai Rang district and Ninh Kieu district, with a total value of 100 million VND.

The "National Flag Street" in Truong Xuan A and Truong Xuan B communes, located on the route from Thoi Lai town to Truong Xuan A, is more than 5 km long, with 443 flagpoles.
