Notably, at the outdoor performance, despite heavy rain, many Japanese audiences still held umbrellas and stood to watch the entire performance of the Vietnamese artists, creating an emotional and memorable scene.

The program is part of a series of cultural promotion activities of the Vietnam Exhibition House at EXPO 2025, with the theme "Saxophone Across Cultures: Vietnam Meets Japan". Here, Nguyen Bao Anh performed outstanding music from the album "Thanh am thoi gian", a product released at the end of 2024, showing the intersection between traditional Vietnamese music and contemporary Japanese style.

Nguyen Bao Anh is currently one of the outstanding young saxophone artists in Vietnam, having performed with big names and won the "Outstanding Saxophone Performer" award at the 2023 National Band Festival.

At EXPO 2025, in addition to two solo performances, he also performed with two Portuguese-Japanese guitarists on the rooftop of the Portuguese Pavilion, one of the most unique stages of the exhibition.

Although they only met for the first time and had little time to practice, the three artists from three cultures combined well, bringing the soulful song "Innocence" to the audience, receiving endless applause.

“I have seen Taruki Sax on YouTube, but I didn’t expect the real sound to be so much more touching. Even though it was raining, I still wanted to hear him perform until the end,” said Miyuki, an audience member from Osaka.
