Explore the historic Ba Dinh Square through virtual reality technology

On the occasion of the 80th anniversary of the successful August Revolution (August 19, 1945 - August 19, 2025) and the National Day of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam (September 2, 1945 - September 2, 2025), the Center for Communications, Data and Digital Technology (Office of the Hanoi People's Committee) has just officially launched a special digital media product called VR-A80.

VR-A80 brings many special experiences and utilities to users. The most impressive thing is that when clicking on the information page, the sacred historical space at Ba Dinh Square - where President Ho Chi Minh read the Declaration of Independence giving birth to the Democratic Republic of Vietnam - is vividly recreated.

Through short videos integrated into the product, people and international friends can relive the moment President Ho Chi Minh read the Declaration of Independence on September 2, 1945, witness the flag-raising ceremony, the first military parade, and listen to the song "Ba Dinh Sunshine" in the heroic atmosphere.

In particular, if using virtual reality glasses, people will be able to explore the space of Ba Dinh Square as if they were actually walking in that space.

In addition, people and international friends can explore iconic landmarks associated with the Capital such as: Presidential Palace, National Assembly House, Ho Chi Minh Museum, Bac Son Martyrs Memorial...

The VR-A80 product also integrates an interactive map with information and travel instructions, the A80 handbook and a number of digital media products produced by Hanoi Radio and Television, to support and serve the people and tourists most conveniently.

Not only a technological product, VR-A80 is also a bridge connecting the past, present and future, helping the young generation and international tourists understand more deeply about the nation's history, while promoting the image of Hanoi - the civilized, heroic and modern capital.

With two languages, Vietnamese and English, the product is integrated on the City's Electronic Information Portal, information pages of 126 communes and wards and many digital platforms, ensuring wide accessibility and strong spread in society.

The launch of VR-A80 is a clear demonstration of Hanoi’s spirit of innovation and creativity in applying digital technology, affirming the city’s pioneering role in combining tradition with modernity. This will be a profound mark, contributing to spreading the historical-cultural-political significance of the 80th anniversary of the August Revolution and National Day September 2.
