On the afternoon of March 13, the Institute of Non-Traditional Security (School of Business Administration, Vietnam National University, Hanoi ) held an announcement session for enrollment in the Non-Traditional Security Assistant (NSA) training program in Ho Chi Minh City.
At the enrollment announcement, Major General, Professor, Dr. Nguyen Van Nhat - Director of the Center for Non-Traditional Security Training, Institute of Non-Traditional Security - expected there would be 100 students in a training course. The course will begin accepting registrations from March 15.

Major General Nguyen Van Nhat said that non-traditional security is a concept used to refer to threats to national security and human security that are not of a military nature. Unlike traditional security, non-traditional security includes diverse challenges such as climate change, epidemics, transnational crime, cyber security, etc. These issues are often transnational in nature, requiring international cooperation to resolve.
"After many years of research and experimentation, leading experts from Vietnam and the Institute of Non-Traditional Security have designed and implemented the Non-Traditional Security Assistant training program, combining the program framework with the bachelor's program in non-traditional security management at the School of Business and Administration - VNU Hanoi" - Major General Nhat said.
Major General, Associate Professor, Dr. Vu Duc Khien - Deputy Director of the Non-traditional Security Training Center, former Principal of the People's Police College II, Ministry of Public Security in Ho Chi Minh City - emphasized: "With the development of society, the issue of human resources is of concern. Therefore, the establishment of the Non-traditional Security Assistant industry is very necessary".
The training content provides 4 groups of knowledge and skills including: knowledge of politics, national and international law; knowledge of assistants, secretaries of leaders, offices, agency assistants, family assistants of leaders; ensuring health security, armed protection, anti-terrorism, anti-hostage, emergency situations, etc.; knowledge and soft skills on behavioral culture, reception, foreign languages, information technology, skills in driving motorbikes, cars, ships, martial arts, horse riding, using service dogs, etc.
After 6-9 months of training, students will receive a "3 in 1" vocational skills certificate including security guard, secretary, assistant and have the opportunity to work at agencies, organizations, the state, businesses, hospitals, etc.
The training course attracted many interested people.
Admission target: Male and female high school graduates who love non-traditional assistant jobs; businesses and organizations with training needs. Priority is given to students who have completed their military service. The first training course is expected to open in May 2025.
Major General Vu Duc Khien said that after graduation, students who wish to continue their development will be given priority for admission to the Bachelor of Non-Traditional Security Management program organized by the Institute of Non-Traditional Security and the School of Business and Administration according to the approved project of Hanoi National University.
