Lak District: Mobilizing each party member to contribute at least 1 day's salary/year to support poor and near-poor households

On September 6, Lak District Party Committee issued Resolution No. 14-NQ/HU of the District Party Committee, term XV, on assigning Party members to help poor and near-poor households develop the economy , eliminate hunger and reduce poverty in the period of 2023 - 2025, with the orientation of sustainable poverty reduction by 2030.

The general objective of the Resolution is to improve the material and spiritual life of people in the district, especially poor and near-poor households; ensure harmony between economic development and social security, maintain political security, social order and safety right at the grassroots level in the district; implement the goal of sustainable multidimensional poverty reduction, gradually reduce the gap between rich and poor between communes and towns...

Specific goals: By the end of 2025, the poverty rate in the district will be reduced to 20%, and the near-poor rate will be reduced to 11% (according to the new poverty standard); by 2030, the poverty rate in the district will be reduced to below 12%, and the near-poor rate will be reduced to below 7%; ensure capital sources for 100% of poor and near-poor households to borrow; strive for 100% of poor people of working age and with sufficient working capacity who want to learn a trade to be supported with vocational training, coaching and career orientation; 100% of poor and near-poor households will be supported with credit policies; 100% of party members of grassroots party organizations under the District Party Committee will participate in responding to and effectively implementing the Resolution.

To effectively implement the Resolution, the District Party Committee has proposed 5 groups of general solutions and some specific solutions. In particular, 100% of Party members of Party Committees and Party cells under the District Party Committee (except for Party Committees of communes and towns) participate in responding to the implementation of the Resolution; annually, mobilize each Party member to contribute at least 1 day's salary to support poor and near-poor households to purchase tools, equipment, seedlings, livestock for production or support at least 10 seedlings of various types (with economic value such as durian, avocado, jackfruit, rambutan, longan...) for people to develop production.

The Party Committees of communes and towns shall issue documents specifying the deployment and implementation of this Resolution, assigning Party members to regularly monitor, support and help poor and near-poor households in villages and hamlets under their twinned units; 100% of Party members of the Party Committees of communes and towns shall participate in responding and promoting the spirit of implementing the Resolution. For Party members receiving salaries from the State budget, they shall mobilize contributions of at least 1 day's salary/year to support poor and near-poor households in purchasing tools, equipment, seedlings and livestock for production. For Party members not receiving salaries from the State budget, they shall contribute at least 2 working days/year to help poor and near-poor households carry out production and develop the economy.
