Cancel the suspension of asset transactions of companies related to Phan Van Anh Vu

Specifically, Chairman of the People's Committee of Da Nang City Le Trung Chinh has just signed a document directing units and departments to coordinate in implementing the document of the Investigation Police Agency - Ministry of Public Security (C01) on canceling the suspension of asset transactions, ensuring normal operations of companies related to the Phan Van Anh Vu case.

The Chairman of the City People's Committee assigned the Department of Natural Resources and Environment to coordinate with the Departments of Justice, Planning and Investment, Construction, Finance, People's Committees of districts, based on the functions, tasks, powers and requirements of the Office of the Investigation Police Agency - Ministry of Public Security to implement in accordance with the provisions of law.

At the same time, it is requested that relevant agencies, units and localities, based on their functions, tasks and powers, cancel the suspension of asset transactions and ensure the normal operation of companies related to Phan Van Anh Vu.

Previously, on May 9, the Investigation Police Agency - Ministry of Public Security sent an official dispatch to the People's Committee of Da Nang City regarding the cancellation of the suspension of asset transactions, ensuring the normal operation of companies related to Phan Van Anh Vu.

According to the content of the dispatch, on April 20, the Ministry of Public Security's Investigation Police Agency received a request from Construction Joint Stock Company 79, Construction Joint Stock Company Bac Nam 79, IVC Company Limited and Nhat Gia Phuc Joint Stock Company (all headquartered in Da Nang) requesting to cancel the suspension of asset transactions and freeze bank accounts to ensure normal operations.

According to the Investigation Police Agency - Ministry of Public Security, in 2018, this agency accepted and investigated the cases of "Intentionally revealing state secrets", "Tax evasion", "Abusing positions and powers while performing official duties", "Violating regulations on management and use of state assets causing loss and waste" and "Violating regulations on land management", related to Phan Van Anh Vu that occurred in Da Nang.

To serve the investigation requirements of the above cases, ensure the recovery of State assets and execution of judgments, the Investigation Police Agency has seized assets in Da Nang City related to the four above-mentioned enterprises.

In addition, on April 20, 2018, the police agency also sent an official dispatch requesting the People's Committee of Da Nang to temporarily suspend transactions on assets including shares, stocks, real estate, rights and assets of individuals and organizations related to Phan Van Anh Vu, including Construction Company 79 and Bac Nam Construction Joint Stock Company 79.

“Up to now, all cases related to Phan Van Anh Vu have been brought to trial and the verdicts have come into legal effect. The verdicts only declare continued seizure orders for 9 assets, which are land use rights, house ownership rights and other assets attached to land; do not declare temporary suspension of asset transactions, freeze bank accounts of Construction Joint Stock Company 79, Construction Joint Stock Company Bac Nam 79, IVC Company Limited and Nhat Gia Phuc Joint Stock Company to serve the execution of the verdict,” the document stated.

Therefore, the Investigation Police Agency - Ministry of Public Security requests the People's Committee of Da Nang City to direct relevant departments, branches and units, based on their assigned functions and tasks, to resolve the requests of Construction Joint Stock Company 79, Construction Joint Stock Company Bac Nam 79, IVC Company Limited and Nhat Gia Phuc Joint Stock Company in accordance with the provisions of law, ensuring the legitimate rights and interests of shareholders, capital contributors and normal operations of the enterprise.
