On August 6, the Working Group to support the recovery of storm and flood consequences in Mang Ri commune ( Quang Ngai province) crossed the forest to the Ngoc Linh ginseng growing area in Tu Tho village and Dak Don village (Mang Ri commune) to help people restore damaged ginseng gardens and repair houses damaged by the storm.

The working group was established by the People's Committee of Mang Ri commune, including leaders of the People's Committee, the Commune Police, the Commune Military Command, specialized departments and the Shock Force with the participation of hundreds of people in 31 villages.

On August 6, taking advantage of the sunny weather, the Working Group divided into two groups to enter Tu Tho and Dak Don villages to carry out the work. From 8:00 a.m., Working Group No. 1, led by Mr. Pham Xuan Quang, Chairman of Mang Ri Commune People's Committee, with dozens of participating officials, crossed the forest to the ginseng gardens in Dak Don village. This is where ginseng is grown most concentratedly and suffered the most damage.
In the ginseng growing area of Dak Don village, the working group spread out to all the affected ginseng gardens. Some carried knives to clear weeds and cut down fallen branches blocking the way. Others collected torn tarpaulins. Some groups used hoes and shovels to dig up wet soil to make new beds and restore low-lying areas caused by heavy rain. Another group rebuilt the roof frame, stretched nets to protect the ginseng garden, and made fences to prevent rats. Another group helped people find ginseng roots buried deep under the mud by the storm. Sweat soaked their backs, the cadres still worked tirelessly.

According to Mr. Pham Xuan Quang, Chairman of Mang Ri Commune People's Committee: "Immediately after the natural disaster damaged the ginseng garden, we urgently counted the damage and reported to the province for support plans. At the same time, without waiting, we proactively established a team to help people restore production. The spirit of the commune is to help people within our capacity, cadres from the commune to the village must take action, not stand aside.
"After completing the damage recovery support in Tu Tho and Dak Don villages, the working group will continue to deploy to other villages, aiming to support all 189 households with ginseng gardens affected by storm No. 3. When the renovation is completed, people will have available land, ready to replant ginseng as soon as they are provided with seeds or have support resources," said Mr. Pham Xuan Quang.
