More than 21.1 billion VND to support people affected by storm No. 3

On the afternoon of September 17, at the Provincial Fatherland Front Committee, Comrade Pham Thi Thanh Thuy, Standing Committee Member, Head of the Provincial Party Committee's Mass Mobilization Committee, Chairwoman of the Provincial Fatherland Front Committee, Head of the Provincial Relief Committee, received support for people affected by storm No. 3 from localities, units and enterprises in the province.

Responding to the call of the Presidium of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front, through the Provincial Fatherland Front Committee, cadres, civil servants, public employees, and workers of localities and units continue to support people affected by storms and floods. Of which, Ngoc Lac district donated 1.5 billion VND; Bim Son town donated 1 billion VND; the Department of Education and Training, the Thanh Hoa Education Trade Union and affiliated units donated 1 billion VND; the family of Mr. and Mrs. Nguyen Xuan Bien - Vu Thi Huong (Thanh Hoa City) donated 50 million VND; the Thanh Hoa Provincial Bar Association donated 25 million VND.

Speaking at the reception, representatives of localities, units and businesses hoped that this amount of money would partly help people affected by storm No. 3 overcome difficulties and soon stabilize their lives.

Speaking at the receptions, Head of the Provincial Party Committee's Mass Mobilization Commission, Chairwoman of the Provincial Fatherland Front Committee Pham Thi Thanh Thuy sincerely thanked the precious sentiments of the cadres and people of the districts; cadres, civil servants, public employees, workers of units, enterprises and people in the province for promptly supporting localities affected by storms and floods.

The Head of the Provincial Party Committee's Mass Mobilization Commission and Chairman of the Provincial Fatherland Front Committee said: "The consequences of the floods on the people of the Northern provinces are very severe, therefore, the hearts and noble gestures of localities, units and enterprises will promptly share and encourage the people of the Northern provinces to overcome difficulties". The Head of the Provincial Party Committee's Mass Mobilization Commission and Chairman of the Provincial Fatherland Front Committee pledged that the sources of support will be compiled and reported to the Standing Committee of the Provincial Party Committee and the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front for timely allocation and support to the Northern provinces.

According to the synthesis of the Provincial Fatherland Front Committee, by 5:00 p.m. on September 17, 715 groups and individuals had supported people affected by storm No. 3 with an amount of more than 21.1 billion VND.
