Many tears of sympathy fell silently, right in the introduction of Ms. Phuong's situation (35 years old). She used to be a hard-working wife, a strong-willed mother, taking care of her children's education. However, a cruel illness has erased the small dream of a poor family. In March 2025, Ms. Phuong was diagnosed with cervical cancer. This was followed by complications of myocardial infarction and pulmonary embolism... causing her health to deteriorate day by day. With no money for hospitalization, she had to go home to endure the prolonged pain.

The burden of food, clothing, and medical expenses for his wife fell on Ly Minh Hieu's thin shoulders. The harsh circumstances forced his eldest son, only 14 years old, to drop out of school and follow his father to work as a rubber tapper. The future of his two younger children, aged 10 and 3, also became uncertain, in a severely degraded charity house.

“When witnessing Ms. Phuong’s situation, we are more aware that health is a precious asset, and human love is a priceless spiritual medicine” - right after the speech of the program’s organizers, sponsors, co-sponsors, businesses, clubs, teams, and volunteer groups inside and outside the province took turns to give love to Ms. Phuong’s family. The total amount of support was up to 151.66 million VND. Of which, 41.66 million VND helped Ms. Phuong prepare for the first radiation treatment. The remaining 110 million VND was saved, with Mr. Hieu’s name on the book and handed over to the locality to manage to focus on Ms. Phuong’s long-term treatment and the children’s education.

The most touching moment was when Ms. Phuong shed tears to thank the program and the benefactors: “In the most painful and desperate moment, my family was welcomed by the loving arms of kind hearts, along with valuable gifts both material and spiritual. This is a great source of spiritual encouragement for me to have more strength, fight against the disease, keep my life and the future of education for my children. I appreciate and am very grateful.”
